SciFi Hammer- Rules Hub
Hello everyone,
This has been my passion project for a couple months. I wanted to design a futuristic wargame played at the company level and while not technically 40k, great care has gone into making sure that you can use 40k models in the 40k setting with these rules. In fact much of this was inspired by and thought of with 40k in mind!
What makes this game unique? When I went searching for miniature agnostic games I found that most were catered to skirmish level battles or were epic scale and when I found games like OPR Grimdark Future, Xenos Rampant, or Warsurge, while they did promise to allow for any minis to be used they also stripped a lot of the flavor and richness from their original rulesets or had a lot of setup, I understand that is to be expected but I just found myself wanting a bit more and not only that but sometimes the models I had in my collection wouldn't neatly fit into some of the unit sizes presented in OPR for example. This is where my game, Scifi Hammer, comes in.
This is a game that:
- First and foremost hobby focused. This game provides a comprehensive ruleset to bring your miniatures to life. There's a ton of options available to you which can seem daunting, but they are meant for you to pick and choose what you like and give you, the player, the opportunity to give rules that fit exactly how you've modeled Your Guys.
- Uses a unique command system. It's a happy medium that has some of the grand strategy of IGUO and the reactivity of alternating activations. The way unit activations get distributed and how reactions are handled allow you to play mind games with your opponent.
- Complex but not convoluted. There is a huge amount of depth, but doesn't rely on overly complex mechanics to get there. Rerolls are kept to a minimum and the dice you do roll are very impactful. This game mostly uses modifiers to influence dice rolls and rewards clever maneuver and positioning.
Best of all this is free and open to everyone. This is a passion project all done by one guy. All I want is for people to try out my game and hopefully they like it!

This is the foundational ruleset to play the game. 10 pages is all it takes and everything else is supplementary to this.

This is a compendium for all the unit types and wargear.
SciFi Hammer Faction Creation Rules
This is how you make the army of your dreams. This allows you to create personalized rules for every miniature in your collection. Based on
the options you select, this system will generate a points cost to balance the relative strength among all potential combinations.
