Overview

I'd like to submit the following 'mini-me' in the colours of the Legio: Brother-Epistolary Lysimachus is a veteran of the Legio's Librarius. He hails from the Emperor's Blade Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes, and as such Lysimachus is devout and utterly loyal, first to the immortal God-Emperor, secondly to his divine son, Roboute Guilliman, and thirdly to the Primarch's holy tome, the Codex Astartes.

Y'know, I've never looked at this part of the board, for some reason. This sounds really interesting! I won't be home for a bit but when I am I know I have a bunch of old school Marines. Quite looking forward to having a go at making my own Mini Me.

Sorry for the late post, but my loot came in as well. The size of the patch was a suprise, never thought my pack would be too small for any patch out there The rest has found a place on my shelf of favorites. Thanks again!

Fantastic work all around! Congratulations to everyone.

Thank you for the prizes again Brother Tyler : I will proudly display the patch on my jacket .

I also collected the prize from the post office! Once again, thank you!

The prize arrived safely. Brother Tyler, thank you! I'm blown away, that patch and magnate are top notch man!!!! Edited the photo, had to resize it for the photo , I'll take a better shot and re-upload.

This was so much fun throughout. From the planning phase (choosing miniatures, deciding on the paint scheme), through painting and exploring new techniques, down to the voting. Thank you for organising this event and motivating the community to paint something else. As an aside, with all the social media sites, apps, engagement-driven outlets and whatnot, I am ever thankful to the Emperor that this old-school (no offence!) forum continues to exist, be active and fun.

Everyone did a bang up job, well done to everyone but Brother Christopher, a big congrats to you man, crazy good mini's !!!! Thanks to Brother Tyler for putting this little contest on, I had a blast!

Some very fantastic entries to Honor the Legio Bolter & Chainsword! Well done

Very well done, amidst a bunch of great models. Congrats @Brother Christopher and all the other entrants!

A well deserved win, congrats Brother Christopher! And thank you Brother Tyler for hosting this, events like these really stirs the hobbyblood. I'm looking forward for any further installments, since I'm still some dudes short of a complete squad

Thank you @Brother Tyler for the challenge and the prizes, it's not a small thing. And congratulations to everyone who partecipated. This was fun.

A very worthy winner (all the finalists were great!) and thank you for running the challenge and putting up the prize @Brother Tyler

Congratulations and well done to @Brother Christopher for the winning entry: I'll have the grand prize in the mail this week. And a salute to everyone else who submitted pictures of their wonderfully assembled and painted Legio miniatures. The prizes for the finalists will be placed in the mail this week, too.

Great entries. @Alby the Slayer Great scene building @Brother Christopher Good work and interesting use of the Space Hulk Termies. @Chaplain Raeven My vote went to you. Loved the individual touches on each model. The shoulder pads and leg details are fantastic. @Infernal Nice clean models. Love the NMM on the power sword. @Spazmolytic Love the gritty finish of these minis and the use of the older power armour mks. Well done all.

A big "thank you" to everyone who participated in the challenge. It's always great to see hobbyists' work, and we always appreciate seeing members of the community expand the ranks of the community's mascot Chapter, the Legio. The staff members have narrowed the field down to five entrants. They are, in alphabetical order: @Alby the Slayer (see all images here) @Brother Christopher (see all images here) @Chaplain Raeven (see all images here) @Infernal (see all images here) @Spazmolytic (see all images here) You can see each image at full size by clicking on it. Each of the members submitted more images, so be sure to check them out by following the links to their entry posts. The poll will remain open through 11:59 PM CST, Sunday, February 15. The member who receives the most votes will be awarded the grand prize, a free copy of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Onslaught and a magnetized gold Legio seal. The other four members will receive a hook and loop Legio patch and a magnetized silver seal. All members participating in this challenge received a badge, and most received the Legio Mini Me badge (and one received the Legio Honour Shield badge), not to mention the undying gratitude and admiration of the Legio.

This is my entrance for the Mini Me badge. The miniature I choose is a Wolfspear Imperial Space Marine, now Veteran Sergeant of the Legio Bolter and Chainsword, Chapter Justice of the Emperor, Great Company. As a Primaris marine of the Unumbered Sons, he was part of the Guardians of the Pit of Raukos, before becoming a Wolfspear. His real name is not known but after his indoctrination in the Chapter he was named "The Slayer". Later, in their ranks, he fought against chaos hordes of cultists in a campaign to repel the Chaos presence in the Imperium Nihilus. He was chosen for a possible candidate to the Legio by [redacted]. He is since then a member of the Bolter and Chainsword Legio. He doesn't speak often and he prefers to operate with a few fellow brothers in small squads. Hunting in the shadows with minimum noise, he is a specialist of ambushes but in the fray he also uses his greater heavy chainsword to butcher his enemies. For his particular traits he is now on a mission on Terra searching for [redacted], deep below the surface, with two other Legio brothers.

Great work, everyone! The Legio is proud to have these warriors within its ranks. If my reading comprehension and math skills haven't diminished too much, it looks like we have the following entrants, in alphabetical order (links take you to their submission posts): Alby the Slayer Brother Argent Brother Christopher Chaplain Raeven Heraclite Infernal Lord_Ikka Rusted Boltgun Spazmolytic Trokair If I missed anyone, please let me know ASAP. Each of these members has been rewarded with a badge for participating. Those members who submitted sufficient information have also been rewarded with the Legio Mini Me badge (if they haven't earned it previously), and one member has also been rewarded with the Legio Honour Shield badge . Multiple entrants haven't yet earned the Legio Mini Me badge and could do so simply by posting a reply here with an image of their Legio mini me model and the necessary information. The members of the staff will now take a week to narrow the field down to five finalist submissions. Once we've done that, the members will vote for the grand prize winner, who will receive a copy of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Onslaught and the magnetized gold seal shown below. The other four finalists will each receive a magnetized silver seal and a hook and loop Bolter & Chainsword patch shown below.

Its all about the Zeal. That why my mini me is a Chaplain... I promise they look better in RL. But don't they always. Maybe I'll get better photos up when I get fluff and honour shield sorted. Was going to last night but ended up on a call out.

Sergeant Adan Cadriel of the Mentors chapter, Veteran Hakya of the White Scars chapter, Veteran Malrah Mor of the Red Talons chapter finished. Please ignore my terrible freehand and imagine the emblem in a better form!

Hot damn, those are great terminators, the details are insane! And Brother Argent managed to paint three models great in the time it takes for primer to dry As an extra for the event, I've managed to paint up an Honour shield for my last year's mini-me lad. My usage of canvas is rare, but it's pretty nice to try out some freeehand.

@Brother Argent It's crazy that you've managed to finish these in time. When I saw you post, I thought 'nah, that's a bit too late, isn't it?' Guess I've been wrong. Congrats!

Excuse the double post but finished. Not all happy, particulary with how the final version looks (in Gravis armour). Will get fluff up later but for now here's photo proof I have completed Brother Argent Mini Me in three phases of his career; When he first came to the Legio, later after being accep[ted to the Chaplaincy (The Typo War Era in the Liber) and finally my new return after a year long hiatus, now as Primaris... More photos in the spoiler tags...
