When I stick shoulderpads, I use crazy glue on arm shoulder, add ball of tamiya putty, and flatten it over a bit. This buffer aids in getting a proper fit for shoulderpads. then I stick on the shoulderpad. In this case I didn't use additional Crazy glue on the shoulderpad side, so when the putty dries I can pop off Painted shoulderpads, glue em after I paint models.
