  1. How long before the Heresy did Luther stop sending reinforcements? It can't be that long, or the Lion would've come a knocking, but it can't have been too late, as they don't seem to have any idea about the Heresy in the HH book.
  2. I've always liked that piece, because I think it shows how manipulative Kor Phaeron is, he compares Lorgars hated brother to the person Kor Phaeron himself wants him to betray. Thus sowing more resentment in Lorgar. I didn't however take it to be true, even Ultramarines themselves didn't understand Guilliman, and neither did Kor, as demonstrated in KNF. Kor thought he could be easily corrupted (something which the Emperor clearly couldn't be, as he would've been tempted by Chaos previously). I'd take it as seriously as the throwaway comment that the Ultramarines absorbed the missing legions, tbf.
  3. But even before the Heresy, it's mentioned that he suggested to others that they should follow his military procedures (Alpharius, and in KNF it's stated that he's given a copy of his military doctrines to all the Legions as an example), so it's not beyond belief that with the added power (and responsibility) of being Warmaster, he would impose his doctrines on the Legions.
  4. I consider this unlikely, I believe Codex:SM(or BT) mentions that for a time it looked like the splitting of the legions would cause a second heresy. Bearing in mind that this might have chosen the loyal and reasonable Primarchs to rebel, I doubt Guilliman would have been able to impose his procedures on the likes of Angron and Curze. And he would definitely (and rightly, IMO) take them to task for the state of the worlds they brought to compliance.
  5. Athame != Anatheme :D Mind you, I think that under Guilliman, the role of Warmaster would have evolved into a sort of Galactic Governor, and his tendency towards the creation of scalable solutions would've meant that he would not have been under the same pressure that Horus was via governance (as is shown in Horus's reaction to the notion of taxing newly compliant worlds). Mind you, I think he would have cracked down on the conduct of several legions(WE,NL,WS,etc) to the point that they would not have been viable allies of the IOM. However, I reckon that most of the Primarchs would see that his vision was what was best for the Imperium (seeing the 500 worlds of Ultramar as the utopia it is made out to be in KNF). A heresy would probably still have occurred, possibly one still lead by Horus.
  6. Speak for yourself mate, I'm with Chaos. :)
  7. ADB, I'm guessing that Lorgar doesn't actually kill that Avatar himself? Or that if he does, there'll be some caveat to it?
  8. Could you imagine that? Standing over your eternally dying brother frozen in his last moments of life... being the last of your brothers... utterly alone...all of the "failure" and the responsibility to rebuild it all resting on your shoulders alone... It almost makes you wonder, deep down inside, if Dorn wanted to die as quickly as possible. As immovable as he was, the burdens weighed too heavily. It would be in character for Dorn to go on a suicide charge with the aim to die. Dorn's a primarch who would feel survivor's guilt alright. The Iron Cage proved that.
  9. Argel Tal has to be in with a shout. Admittedly, he had the slight advantage of being powered by a daemon, but he made short work of pretty much everything that came near him at Istvaan. And he was clever enough to spot the gap in the abilities of the Custodians.
