It happened with the transition to 7th edition. The rules of that edition made "soup" armies (mixing multiple factions in the same army) commonplace, making it difficult for members to discuss their armies when they incorporated factions that weren't previously allowed. In addition, discussion forums dedicated to various factions were dying off (all online discussion forums are seeing this to a degree). Kurgan the Lurker was the driving force behind this expansion (and that's not placing blame because I fully supported it). It was a somewhat contentious issue, but in the end we decided that expanding the scope of the site to cover the entire setting would best support our mission statement and the community's needs. Given that we have moved away from that ediiton, and soup armies are a thing of the past - maybe we could remove these sections now? To bring back the old spirit of B&C.

I love this brother. I have the same story, I was so ashamed of the fact that I enjoy Warhammer that I would hide it from my family and girlfriend for many years.

I don't know if my opinion is welcome, because I use this forum only rarely. But on our language-specific forum board we have two topics for wh40k news - one is only pictures & links to wh40k stuff (it's called "only important stuff", and the other topic is called "discussion of news"). Maybe this might help? The discussion could be in news directory or in "generic adeptus" directory.

This message from GW made me laugh loudly during these grim times, thank you Edit: after watching that video I was envious of people eating such pretty food like toast and orange juice. While I need to survive on boiled beans and potatoes, just like during the wars in the Yugoslavia.

And obviously there's full body paint. Given that technology has advanced, why not have something that does not abrase quickly or even somehow melts into skin (as skin tears down and grows all the time).

I do not remember too much about Space Marines and their relationship with food. I remember the following parts: alcohol does not work on them (that's present in the first books of Horus Heresy) some (Ultramarines?) chapters hold a feast/proper dinner after daily excersises (I think that was in Index Astartes) Does anyone know anything more? Do Space Marines have any kind of "preferred food", or personal tastes? Or was that all removed during psychoindoctrination? Is there a concept of "cooking" even there, given that SM can eat almost anything due to their organs (I forgot the name, but the one for absorbing poisons). PS. This question was caused by me (unfortunately) stumbling across video of Space Marines eating soup...
