Apologies for quoting the long block of text, but I was wondering how you were doing the 1+d3 additional mortal wounds a cast?

@Ulfast, thanks for your input - my issue is still that I’m trading offence (no +1MW wound) for the defensive 6+++ and wound regain :/ I agree 3 soul grinders would be nice and would actually complement the LoCs quite well as they draw similar type of fire. The claw seems like the better or the two weapons to me? I see what you did there If only it had been intended!

I just can’t justify the points for one - especially since only one can take the impossible robe. Even with the 6++ and getting the wounds back. They’re too squishy and too big To hide properly unfortunately compared to daemon princes and heralds. Plus the Leadership aura isn’t that useful and the casting bonus I’m meh about bar flickering fire and gaze or fate which heralds DPs cast fine. Saying that I’d love to be very much proven wrong as the mode is stunning and it does feel only right to have one as warlord in the army :/

Long tine chaos player (Marines/DG), I’m considering mono Tzeentch for a bit of a change and I’ll be intrigued to see what’s coming for them. Heralds, DPs and screamers/flamers seem the way to go in 9th for me. Still don’t see a place for the lord of change sadly

Glad to see you doing well, and I really like the list (theme wise too). Would you consider the Fugaris Helm on the Putrifier to just stretch the aura a bit more especially with such a big blob?

Necrosis has the Tainted keyword, but I was wondering what else could take this keyword? Not sure if I missed an explaination of this in the book, but many thanks for any help!

I ran morty in a tournament an I loved blades when using he’s sweep attack mode,returning to wounding most things on 2s and doing extra mortal wounds

I like the lord of Comtagion reroll, but keep it away from Typhus. I second the lords/sorceror having DR.

I find it hard being patient as well, always keen to get stuck in. Can I ask how you run your terms lord?

This is why I’d only run the flamers, to me the combat attack is more a token gesture than anything else

To recount my LCO experience, I took morty, typhus, MPC, 3 squads of PB, 3 flamer drones and 2 preds (quad las and one auto canon). I went 3-0-3 but I felt I should’ve won at least 1/2 more games (bad luck or timed out) Morty only made it past T3 in one game as he was a huge fire magnet which did allow the rest of the army to do stuff and remove units. If he did hit the enemy lines there was rarely anything left, but I did feel I spent a lot of time worrying about keeping him safe and not doing so with the rest of the army which I admit is my own play style error but something to keep in mind. The 3 drones were the true MVPs as they took huge amount of fire before dropping and allowed me to disable tanks and the like T2 with some clever charges. Would I take Morty again? Idk,I feel he was a huge investment for a fire magnet and I wonder if 3 drones not far of his price couldn’t have done more for me

I ran a PW heavy list with Typhus at the LCO this year, and I was disappointed in him tbh. He was slow and never got stuck in, for his points I’d just take more PW tbh. The stuff he PW foght I wounded on 5 anyway or I’d i needed I could simply buff them with extra toughness, especially since I used them to tie stuff up and sit on objectives. I felt I’d have gotten more mileage with a MPC and a lord instead, especially allowing some rerolls for my Preds.

Firstly great write-up, thoroughly enjoyed reading it and see how this still of list did. I really need to get myself a blight spawn. I also love the marines! How do you compare the two drones? Is the mower worth it?

IMO, they are just so much better than drones. Fewer points, far, far more durable and much better shooting attacks. It also gives something that Death Guard (and honestly, Chaos in general) doesn't have, which is a no-LoS needed ranged weapon. This is so important, especially when first level of ruins blocks LoS for most games (or at least it does in all the ones that I play). The Bell GUO is pretty neat; I usually use him as a blocker in close combat anyway. Dmg d3 is pretty nice though; I mean, it's not the Bilesword but the Bileblade (which is what I use) is still pretty decent at AP-3. Also, I have often found myself giving him Corruption, as the rest of the Nurgle Relics are just really, really bad. Do you not think fly is worth it on the drones? I’m curious do you think a list with just 3PBC and a GUO could work? Thinking of PB drones or BoN and the usual nurgle troops as needed -

I couldn’t disagree more, on multiwound models it’s still huge as it still reduces damage by a third on average He wasn't talking about multi-wound models tho? Well then it seems I agree :P -

To confirm, this counts as the same power even though it appear on the Nurgle and Contagion disciple? For example, I couldn’t cast it once from each Nurgle and Contagion in matched play? Many thanks all!

I’d say yes as it’s still a save. All is dust is similarly worded and includes invul saves
