  1. Oh, and try to get enough primer. You'll need about ohne half to 2/3 of a can for one GW knight (the bigger FW ones need way more).
  2. I have built and painted 7 knights and always needed about one weekend for one of them (including washing and cutting from sprue). But! I have invested in a good airbrush, oil colors and varnish for weathering and used a simple color scheme (house makabius, instructions found at battlebunnies). And I used to work about 36+ hours a weekend. (with an unhealthy amount of beer ;)) So, with an easy colorscheme you will be able to put a huge, good looking force on the table within 2 to 3 month of long weekends. But playing with them is a really different thing. As already told, you will have to wait quite a large amount of time, because the rest of your side (always used them in large Apoc games) needs also time to move, shoot etc... I also had the situation (in 7.edi) that some players wanted to refuse to play against them, but since the boons for masses in 8. Edi this ain't no problem any more. So, long short story... If you want an impressive force within a quite planable time, knights can work very well (airbrush recommended) and they, As a full army are (at least in my place) a rare sight to play against. Not the no-brainer army and against an used contrahent difficult to play, but unique and fun nontheless. So go for it! (sorry for my english,it is not my main language)
  3. I have used the wings from the metal Tomb King Carrion for the metal Nurgle DP. Replace the Exhausts on his back with the splitted wings. Maybe i can provide a pic later, don't have one at work.
  4. That's why i love 30k! Almost infinite possibilities and a great community... BTT: has anyone found a way to get some use out of scythes or do you just use them because rule of cool?
  5. Well, there is at least one pic of a assault trooper in Visions of Heresy, so it works for me. ;) I am running them in combination with a Caestus filled with Deathshroud and the other players fear them. It seems a bit odd, but it effectively takes away the malus of the Reaping "non running“ RoW.
  6. Assault troops with rad grenades are quite good when using the reaping RoW. They aren't exactly cheap, especially with meltabombs, but they are a fast anti inf/tank choice in a normally very slow list. I'm using two of them with a troop of destroyer and they are feared by my enemies, regardless if they are playing massed infantry or tanks. Combine them with Morty's ability to port around the table and you get a very mobile, hard hitting army.
