  1. This is my biggest issue with the event if I’m honest. They haven’t invited anyone who has been a big proponent of heresy to it. I understand why channels like the outer circle weren’t invited but what about Lil Legend studio? Myles is known as a heresy commission painter and his entire YouTube/patreon is based on painting heresy. Why aren’t people like him invited? People who have kept the hobby/game support going
  2. I can’t see it being one book a year, that seems too slow. You’d be looking at 4-5 years to cover all legions then. I’d have thought 2 would be the minimum or maybe even quarterly like necromunda, blood bowl and kill team. I could see a box a year happening with each year bringing a new armour mark
  3. I like the amount of releases in that list, it’s the kind of support I’m hoping for! The prices are all over the place though and don’t make sense. The upgrade sprue is interesting as I wonder how they’ll do this going forward. With the rumours of every armour mark getting a kit is every legion getting an upgrade sprue for every kit? I just want a plastic kit road map really! What generic units are coming and when!
  4. The kratos seems to have a lot of guns…. I’m hoping this isn’t a sign of things to come like 40k where every new marine tank has as many guns as possible
  5. Really like the rules were seeing so far and how closely it seems to be sticking to 7th. Reactions seem like they add a touch more nuance and tactical thinking to the game rather than bogging it down and slowing play like we see with stratagems in 40k at the moment. I also really appreciate that USRs are sticking around and we aren’t going to end up with 18 unique ways of saying this has a 5+ feel no pain. It’s laughable though that after last June’s leaked box set reveal and now a massive rules leak we’ve still not heard anything official! Hopefully that changes soon roll on adepticon
  6. only 15-16 times? For me it just depends on what book I’m reading at the moment lol. As far as plastic kits go, I’m hoping the rumour for every armour mark are true, I have plans for each of them. I’d also like breachers and assault marines in plastic preferably in plastic too. Ideally for every mark but I can’t see it, so maybe just resin upgrade kits for each new plastic kit I think bringing out plastic tanks is a must. If they sold a plastic rhino chassis and then you could buy the predator/whirlwind/vindicator resin upgrade from Forgeworld that’d be perfect. Realistically if the leaked predator stat sheet is correct the only way we’d have that many options is with resin upgrades. Doing this for every multi use chassis would be the way to go in my eyes
  7. I respect your opinion on Macca but to say he has done nothing positive for the community is completely false. He's put up as of now 81 getting started in the Horus Heresy videos, from the basic how to get started in the game, guides for each legion and reviews every option for each force org slot how is that not positive? They are fantastic to watch if you are getting into the hobby and a source of great information. Whilst he has plenty of videos that are as he admits salty he has just as many positive ones but people like yourself seem to either miss or ignore that fact. Doesn't he also run events in Australia for the heresy? which would seem to me like a positive contribution. Is he salty? Yes undoubtedly but lets face it, as Heresy fans isn't it a bit hard not to be at the moment? We have no idea what is happening to the game and have been offered no information for its future. It hasn't had a book or rules release in how long? People will say its entitled but to me its just good customer service! is the stuff I buy now going to be invalid or out of date in a few months? Lets face it is the roadmap he wanted isn't that much to ask for, especially considering every other game system pretty much has one. Now we also have a 10% rise in prices to contend with too on an already expensive game that they themselves have a high profit margin on. Last years Gross margin was according to this site (https://www.statista.com/statistics/993999/global-gross-margin-of-games-workshop/) 72% meaning they make 72% profit off the models they sell so that Arquitor Bombard were paying £100 is making them £72. Are you telling me they cant take the hit and not raise prices again for the 3rd or 4th year in a row? Lastly i just want to say whether you find someone toxic or not does not make his points any less valid all he wants is what every other system already has.
  8. My hobby goals are finish a 2000pt Word Bearers army for 40k. I've spent the last 11 days painting the start collecting Chaos marine set a dark apostle and a tactical squad so im currently at about 1000 pts fully painted to a decent standard. Once that's complete I can play my first game of 40k since before the plague! My only goal game wise is to win my first competitive tournament game of 40k. I've only entered one tournament and went 0-3 so id like to win a game next time. I lost those games because I make tactical errors and get too distracted trying to kill things rather than trying to play to objectives! Other goals are to keep building up an emperors Children legion for the Horus Heresy if and when all that stuff comes out. I'm also going to do the impossible and paint up my hobby pile of shame! I have the beginnings of about 4 Age of Sigmar armies so want to get them finished!
  9. I love your idea about the marks and hope that's the route they go for! Id happily pay 3-5 points per model to get +1T or +1A as you mentioned. I think that would make people actually take Chaos marines in a chaos army!
  10. True, I didn't think of that. Regards the box, I'm not too fussed about it (MkVI doesn't MASSIVELY appeal to me for a 30K force, maybe if I end up building a Scouring army) but I seriously hope we do see continued, (more, like it has been) regular support and ideally more stuff in plastic. Are we still waiting on a Malevolence and general FAQ? Been a while since I've checked, I can't even remember where to find the FAQs, did they move to Warhammer Community? Im with you on that, Whilst im not overly keen on the MK6 in the box the Rumours of a bigger plastic range that come with it are whats important. Ive heard Valrak say a few times every armour mark is coming in plastic and theres obviously the whole plastic spartan thing. Thats what excites me the most! Plastic Mk II armour and the hope for some sort of plastic vehicle range! That Visions of Heresy book and the old tcc would be a fantastic source for new units. That was the origin of the Sunkillers, right!? I think i first read about them in the Index Astartes book.... I cant be sure. But anything that gives us more fluff to use on the tabletop is a winner for me
  11. Hopefully they show us something for the emperors children! Id love to have rules for the Sun Killers!
  12. Well, bad news for you on that front. Assuming the rumours of Imperial Fists versus Sons of Horus are the start of a rescaled range, then I think this size is what we can look forward to in the future. I've run up a mock-up on Death of a Rubricist to compare the new Sons of Horus Praetor with the Imperial Fist, and also the Word Bearers and Ultramarines Terminators. This really bothers me, If theyre rescaling why is it only the Imperial Fist and Sons Of Horus praetors that have been done? In just over a year theyve released 5 praetors the Dark angels, Word Bearers and Ultramarine one are all the same yet the other two are clearly bigger if this is the correct height. It makes no sense
  13. Whilst scrolling through Facebook i stumbled upon this and wondered if anyone had seen it before or whether anyone had pictures of other lists they may have done? Its seems to be a very thematic build that im quite tempted to do! I want to know if there are more!

  15. Could be the original pair of plastic characters from Betrayal at Calth, especially if the rumors are saying they're bringing back the monopose contemptor Honestly that's the one thing that makes these rumors seem fishy to me. Why create a brand-new plastic contemtptor kit to only put it in the launch box and saddle all the other boxes with the old, terrible monopose one? Maybe they talk about the new terrible monopose Contemptor we saw at the potato picture? You know the one who looks like it is taking a dump. After making so many good legion specific contemptor's I don't understand how they can mess the generic one up TWICE!
  16. Personally I think that the rumoured contents of the boxes are perfect. They are exactly what id want from starter sets model wise. Id be a bit gutted with a softback rulebook in the more expensive boxes but other than that they're pretty good. Following the price points of the current 40k and Aos starter sets at £105 £65 and £32.50 would make more sense and be more believable. Sadly we just have to wait and see now. I wonder if the SoH Praetor is in Terminator armour and thats why we only got a new resin power armoured one? They just brought the release forward due to them sending out the wrong model a few times.
  17. Price wise it’d make more sense and would be a lot more palatable if it was in euros and I could see myself still buying it. If it’s In pounds they’ve finally gone too far as far as I’m concerned
  18. They're out of there minds at those prices, if theyre true. Cant see many people stumping up £240. Id hate to see the cost in dollars or for the Aussies!
  19. Haha ok, possible. There was a german involved, but what did he do? We'll see. What Bugs me about the rumors about combat patrols and such is: HH players rarely play combat patrols but instead a lot of players see 3000 points as the standard and 2000 as the bottom line. It just doesn't fit into the game so far to bring out boxes for really small games. What I could see is a ZM box of sorts but not like '800 points of marines. Start playing with your friends now!' HH was always aimed at people who are really into the fluff and it takes some time as 40k player to aquire this knowledge. You know what I mean, Internet people? Whilst I completely understand what you're saying and agree that it doesn't fit how Horus heresy is played on the large scale, If you look at 40k and AoS this rumour does make sense. A limited box available for a month before the main release (Indomitus/dominion) then when the game is released properly we get 3 different price entry levels just like 40k/AoS. The rumoured large box would also give you enough to play zone mortalis too which would get people playing immediately. Whilst i prefer the larger 3000 point games it would be impossible and expensive to bring out a box to start at that scale immediately.
  20. 2022 seems like a more realist release date especially if there’s a big plastic launch to go with it.
  21. With Octarius part two being released with no build up on fanfare and then the warcry box going up the day after its previewed it definitely feels like the release schedule is out of whack. Just a shame they never speak to us customers and inform us themselves, especially for a product weve known about since june. Itd be nice to know whats worth spending my hobby money on!
  22. Valrak has made a video saying his "source" said there will be a Jaghatai Khan on a bike model revealed in the new year and they'll show the new box set around the same time as they've had to put the box release back.
  23. From the things i see online and events ive been too id have to say Salamanders and Word bearers. The only time i see any Word Bearers stuff is when 40k players use Gal Vorbak for possessed marines! Such a shame as the Word Bearers have some great models... I guess ill have to start them myself
  24. I can’t see them not making daemon primarchs, all the signs point to the next step for the game being the siege of terra so surely they’d have to update the primarchs who became daemons by that point
