I just was watching a play through video of Blackstone Fortress and noticed something that I may have been doing wrong this whole time. When you use Destiny dice, do you use them as a substitute for the value of one of your own action dice, or is it an ADDITIONAL die you are using, so for example, could you use your 4 action dice + 1 destiny die for 5 total actions during a character's activation?

Hey friends, for context we have just finished the Hidden Vault and are about to launch into the Dreaded Ambull quest. I already have Escalation so we have used some of these characters which has been great.... however: 1) Anyone else found that after 4 Strongholds and the Hidden Vault all their characters are ridiculously overpowered....? Like at this point I am sure we could probably one-shot the Ambull in one turn..... 2) Also certain items can insta-kill anything. This makes me a bit upset that there is no immunity from this from 'epic' creatures such as Ambull, Mallex etc. Nothing worse than building up to an epic fight and it being over on the first 6 role cos you blapped him into the fking warp! 3) in-part relating to the first problem, we have power-spiked so early that there seems to be no point buying items now. I have TEN items on Espern Locarno and there is literally no point buying upgrades cos he is so OP...... 4) There eventually becomes quite a same-ness to a lot of items 5) Gotfred De Montbard is by FAAAAR the best character - maybe a nerf? Ways to fix this: 1) Make the next expansions harder.... like a LOT harder. Build the game for the fact that by now most people have super-pimped characters. 2) New Resource Cards and Ships in new expansions to allow for some motivation to hunt for archeotech... its useless now. 3) It would be cool to see new characters again like Escalation that can 'bring you back to the start' kind of. Does anyone else relate to this?

Warhammer Community post Hidden Content We’ve already seen one pair of twins enter the Blackstone Fortress in the form of the Ratlings, Rein and Raus, and now another brace of siblings – Dorg and Gren Broggan – prepare to take on the mysterious space fortress. Have you been struggling on your expeditions into the Blackstone Fortress? Feel that you need a little extra muscle to help you beat the followers of Mallex? Well, you’re in luck as this month’s White Dwarf contains rules for using the Ogryns, Gren ‘Knuckles’ Broggan and his older brother Dorg, in your quests. Rather than being explorers, they are retinue characters and can be added to a full party of four, lending their considerable strength to the mission. Before bad luck befell them and they had to leave the Astra Militarum, Dorg was the leader of a squad of Bullgryns and Gren was an Ogryn bodyguard. They found their way to the Blackstone Fortress and were taken in by a data trader called Xalleus who sold their services to anyone who needed Ogryn-level might. Before you can add them to your expeditions, you will have to rescue Dorg ‘The Wall’ Broggan from deep within the Blackstone Fortress itself. White Dwarf contains a new sidequest – which can be undertaken as a one-off expedition or whilst on another mission – to save the Bullgryn Bone’ead before he is overrun by his enemies. If you are successful, you can include Dorg and Gren on your future expeditions. If you want to include them as retinue characters in your Blackstone Fortress quests, and learn all about what has brought these brothers to Precipice, make sure you pick up September’s White Dwarf for their rules and background. Also, grab yourself a box of Ogryns so that you’re ready for your new adventures.
