With the new SM codex coming out and the fact that playing with the BA codex is a struggle, I have finally decided to jump on the vanilla train! I love the CL fluff and armor scheme and have always wanted to create a force. I am looking for as much fluff as I can get on this chapter. I understand that they had a fallout with an Inquisitor who bombed a planet they had liberated. As a result, they protested against the Inquisition and bad things started happening to them. On Armageddon, they were fed bad intel and their chapter suffered horrendous losses, including the extinction of their apothecaries to imperial sniper fire. Then the chapter vowed to keep fighting in order to honor their fallen. I know they are featured in a new novel that has just come out, but I haven't had the chance to pick it up yet. I don't mind the spoilers though, so please do tell what happens! That's about all I know, is there any other info on them? Like what are their squads called, notable figures, tactics, etc. Anything would be appreciated guys!

Hi, I'm posting on here on behalf of my wife, to hopefully gain some encouragement for her on her recent move to building a Space Marine Chapter, -
Moderators move if not correct spot! Alright so I've started painting up my celestial lions, and I've got to one of those silly marines who thinks his head is stronger than a helmet, what colour should his flesh be? Celestial lions are meant to mostly be from the warriors there home world of Elysium, recruited from the warriors, of darker skin colour (from the little fluff there is) however would primaris be from there or anywhere? I'd think it odd for crawl just to make marines come from the chapters preferred planets...

Howdy all. I am currently working on a project (literary based) that heavily involves the Celestial Lions. Whilst I have managed to locate information on the fluff already "established" for them, and the link below of a previous topic where a member of the forum asked some questions, I have some questions on top of the previous link that are a little different from the linked thread below., and didn't want to raise it from the dead. Check the link below for the old thread: Link Right, what I need to know is what sort of IP surrounds the fluff we do have for the Celestial Lions, who made it (as in what GW staffer) and how official is the fluff in the Lexicanum (as in was it torn from official GW sauces)? Using what fluff we have, if I was to "fill in the blanks", what is the consensus on character themes to use (as in Roman names etc)? Also, how popular would they be (hypothetically) if a story was to be created on their fate? I have a few ideas and don't want to write a load of stuff that is not going to be well received or "accurate". Thanks to all who take time out to help me.
