Just to clear up the issue of scale (as it was discussed at length in the Rumours thread), I can confirm that the new DW marines are the same scale as the other marine kits, and that the extra height is due to their posing. The following pictures show DW marines next to marines from older kits that have been re-posed by fellow frater, Blindhamster. No length was added to the legs etc, they have simply been cut and reposed.

I was working on my Vow last night, and I got to thinking that these new models were, well, bigger. Not true scale but definitely bigger. So I did a quick comparison to one of my Space Wolves. Hi All, So being a big conversion guy I am looking forward to the character I will be able to give to my individual Deathwatch marines. I've got a few Ideas to start with but I was wondering what other cool things you guys have come up with so far? My first, quite basic conversion will be sacrificing this space hulk terminator to the cause. I think given his claw damage and the big ol' head he is holding he makes a perfect deathwatch termie http://hobbyworld.com.ua/published/publicdata/HOBBYWOR/attachments/SC/products_pictures/60010699002_SpaceHulkGoriel360_enl.jpg I'm also looking in to making deathwatch shoulder pads to fit centurion armour although thats going to be rather difficult. Anyway, what cool ideas are you guys coming up with?

I want to build Corvus Blackstars, but want them as part of my Space Marine chapter, not the Deathwatch. I do not want the comical amounts of Inquisition insignia on my Blackstars. This starts with the two doors on the front, which I hope to replace with Rhino doors. Then I'll have to do something about the giant inquisitorial sigil on the top as well. But first the doors. Before I buy, I need to know if Rhino doors would actually fit. Would the first person to get their hands on a Corvus Blackstar and a Rhino kit (or have Rhino doors lying around) please tell me if the Rhino Doors fit on the Corvus Blackstar's front. At a glance, the Rhino Doors and Corvus Blackstar doors have the same shape and design. Two hinges at the bottom, 3 polygonal teeth and 4 cut corners. However, looking at the Corvus Blackstar sprue on the GW website shows that the Blackstar doors have a small protrusion for the two little lamps next to the doors. That protrusion can simply be cut off and re-attached. I'm mainly worried about the doors not fitting the Corvus Blackstar.

Hello there, I'm trying to convert up a Watch Master and the only thing that has me stumped is the Clavis. How do I either convert one, model one or buy one (if there are any good 3rd party alternatives?) Anyone got any good ideas?
