Seen some similar threads to this one but not for Grey Knights. My wish list: Number 1: Give us our daemonhammers back! I don’t mind the other nemesis weapons being clumped together but we need these, especially for characters to give us a bit more punch and put us on par with other marine leaders. I find we struggle to field enough higher-strength weaponry. I’d even like to see a special terminator unit option with all hammers, perhaps at an extra points cost. 1a) Maybe the falchions as well - trade a point of strength or damage for the extra attack or something to balance them. Leave swords, halberds and staves the same profile if you want but if you’re dual-wielding obviously lighter weapons there should be a difference to that. Number 2: Psycannons back on vehicles. These gave us something to separate our tanks from regular marine tanks. Anywhere you can take a twin heavy bolter, give us the psycannon instead/as an option. GW could release a plastic grey knights upgrade frame with a twin psycannon turret, icons and other stuff; perhaps with extra hammers to make the terminator unit suggested above. They did the one with the Baal assault cannon for blood angels so it would be easy to do if they were willing. Then they wouldn’t need to mess with options in the tank kits. Number 3. More interesting psychic powers for each unit. It’s a bit dull, for example, that the strike squad ability has the “psychic” keyword but has exactly the same effect as the same rule for intercessors. Psychic powers in general seem a bit dull at the moment and I would love to see a big update to these in a single wave with the release of Grey Knights, Aeldari and Thousand Sons codexes to make them more relevant. Anything else you would like to see?

Our index is a bit sparse. Dedicated anti-armor is inefficient points-wise namely due to dual-use units. Razorbacks and Land Raider have to pay for transport capacity in addition to their las cannon armaments. Dreadnoughts have to pay for the close-combat capability, and the missile launcher arm to replace the close combat weaponry isn't good for the points. Seems like we have to opt for mortal wound delivery, so three librarians in this role become essential. Four servitors with a pair of multi-meltas in the squad can deepstrike if attached to a Brother Techmarine. This is an option, but not a very good one. 135 points for a unit that is largely situational. I think I'd prefer to use servitors in teh back field, arming them with plasma cannons. If stationary when firing, they can hit on 3+. This is pretty good and cost-efficient, but is not an anti-armor solution. Lastly, the Imperial Knight Armiger Warglaive is very points-efficient at 140 points each. If we were to take three, that would be 420 points. First page of the Imperial Knights Index says we can take Freeblades. Either a single Knight or 3 Armigers. I'm going to suggest this as the first choice. The Warglaive's primary armament is a 'Thermal Spear', which is A2, S12, AP -4 Damage D5 with MELTA 4. It has secondary Meltagun and Heavy Stubber. It's fast and has a very effective melee attack. Given the sparse choices for anti-tank, Armigers are looking very good. What are your thoughts? NOTE: My first time posting here in about 13 years. Hello everyone! I'm back into 40K first time since 5th edition.

Hi there, I haven't played 40k for years. I have always wanted to play Grey Knights. So i guess I am going to give it a go. Any units I should avoid and units that are strong choices? LM

I wish we still had the Rifleman build that is available to normal Marines. So was stoked to see the Legends drop a few weeks ago, and immediately checked that we could still build our Doomglaive set-up. I have several and wanted to make sure I could still field them. However I still have a couple built as Rifleman (from when we went through the Psyfleman era) and was disappointed that they had gone. I then noticed today that in the Legends: Adeptus Astartes that they still had the option for double Twin linked Autocannons on their Dreads and was doubly disappointed. Does anyone think this is yet another era, or is deliberate? Sadly I think it is probably the 2nd. Also was stoked to see my Terminator Armour Inquisitors are back as well!
