Hi folks, A small update for my AdMech force with the addition of two new mages. The ones prevuously teased for their weapon swap and limited customization. These lads complete my coterie of Technomagii, with a grand total of 3 Manipulus and 2 Dominus (plus an Abeyant used as count as). It is therefore a full mobilization, 3oo3 for each entry. The Manipulus shows some (very) subtle colour changes with my rpevious models, not only because of the weapon swaps and torsiona cannon added, but also for the green instead of bluish fluid flowing on top of its caparacionned armour. The Dominus is a more conventional model. Nothing too fancy here. While painting it I realized that it is in my opinion the worse model of the whole AdMech range. Not that I am a big fan of the Kastelans, but this slim daddy is really not the most appealing for me. Anyway, I still have some models to add to the cybernetic army: 3 Sulphur hounds, 5 Pteraxii and 5 Sicarians. The main question for me atm is how to set the SIcarians: i) increase my existing infiltrators to 10 or set a 5 men stron ruststalker unit... Hum, time for reflexion.... See you soon.

Weapon swaps and customization
Bouargh posted a blog entry in AM Not-Stygies - A Blog about building a new Army
Hi Folks, While waiting for the primer to dry on my Dwarves for the World that Was, I used the free time I had (due to rainy weather) on swapping weapons on some Magi I have for my AdMech. Customization and small kitbashes are a nice way to add some subtle differences for these highly standardized models. And it is far easier now that they are in plasteic rather then in lead or white metal... Ahh, nostalgy. of drilling with my first Dremel like tool, 20 years ago... The Manipulus and the Dominus saw a swap of their weapons, well axe heads in fact. It is a rather easy to do interchanging. The Manipulus then saw some extra deeper modifications with a head from a former Dominus (spare) and a torsion cannon instead of his usual set of weapons. For the latter I have got inspiration from other stuff published in the forums, may be by Grotmasha?... I do not really remember. But credit for the idea is definitively not mine. Here is the result on the Manipulus: And as far as the Dominus is concerned, it is even lighter... I could have been more extreme on this one, especially on the hand gun as some Kataphron spare flamers or a power claw would have been a nice touch, but it is only my second Dominus so I did not look for anything too extreme. Even if extreme is probably very hyperbolic. I guess primer is now dry and that I can start working on my dwarves... See you latter once I'll come back to 40k, for APril pledge in 12 MoH surely.
