Hello, brothers! I'm fairly new to playing, but have been painting for a while now. I have flip-flopped between which chapter to play, but my first love was the sons of Vulkan for their incredible humanity and willingness to protect those who cannot protect themselves. I come to you today to ask about the viability of a fully primaris Salamander list. Now, I don't plan on going to tournaments, but I am curious if I can create something viable in the meta, and fun above all else. It doesn't have to win every game, but I would rather not get decimated at every turn. At the moment, I have: Primaris Librarian Primaris Captain Primaris Captain in Gravis Redemptor Dreadnought 30x Intercessors 5x Hellblasters 3x Inceptors Happy to buy some more stuff, but would like to keep most troops in the primaris range, aside from Dreadnoughts (Because those bastards are amazing, and my favorite unit in the lore). In my first game last week against Ultramarines I did do exceedinlgy well but I must admit my opponents dice rolling was terrible and he forgot to grab an objective for two turns. Still I felt my Units performed pretty well. He did remember to wipe my stormbolter Dominions from the board first thing as they tend to erase Primaris squads ;) Last week's list is in the list section. The new Exorcist missile launchers are murder machines for vehicles. I haven't tried the conflagration rockets yet. I gave my warlord Canoness the Rod of Office and Book of St. Lucius and found that 12" bubble extremely useful with both Lead the Righteous and Indomitable Belief. Today I go against Ad Mech Knights. I did my usual mix of weapons in each squad of the brigade (melta, flamer) and I expect Holy Trinity will be extremely useful on whichever squad gets its flamer model within 8 inches of a target. Only taking two Exorcists and may regret it later, but I am taking a Multi Melta Retributor Squad with extra models, a Simulacrum and will post a Hospitaller near them to try and keep them in the game as long as possible. I added an Inquisitor to see how that will work out: using an Ordo Xenos one to try and farm some additional Command Points because our Stratagems are very good and I can use all the CP I can get. :)

Dear All I have stumbled upon the new Codex: Space Marines - Weapons and Wargear Updates and noted that multi-meltas are now heavy 2. It has making me thinking about weather I it would be time to change my devestators' plasmacannons out with multi-meltas instead as I no longer can see the big advanges of useing plasmacannons over multi-meltas... I mean sure, the plasmacannon can potentially make 1 more hit but at the same time can also risk making 1 less hit and with a worse strength and AP value not to mention a FAR WORSE damage output... There is of course the chance of doing more damage with Supercharged but as my marine can get fried up in process I just don't think it make sense to use Plasmacannons over Multi-meltas. Or am I wrong?
