So how many of you are gong to try to get into Shadow Wars with your Deathwatch? I know the other factions not in the box have free rules posted so we don know exactly how Marines will play out. One thing I noticed right away is that GW posted SW prepackaged selections for factions and I noticed one of the marine boxes includes Deathwatch which are advertised as 'specialists'. So this got me to thinking, aside from the odd scout, why not just do a full SW Deathwatch army? Is anyone planning on doing this?

++++Incoming Transmission from Watch Master Stormcloak, Watch Fortress Iscariot++++ Brothers, I have summoned you here to carry out a secret mission for the Ordo Xenos on the world of Armageddon. The Inquisitor has received word of an Eldar Strike Team located on that planet seeking to destroy it from the inside out. As of right now, we do not have any further details as to how they will execute such a task. As for the duration of this mission, I will be appointing you, Brother Raziel of the Dark Angels to be the leader of the Kill Squad for you have displayed amazing feats of tactical prowess that has helped us move this Long Vigil further and further. Under your command will be the following battle brothers: Brother Mathias of the Ultramarines, his skill with long range sniping has been an asset to his parent Chapter. He will most certainly serve you well in providing the necessary reconnaissance for your mission. Brother Zephon of the Imperial Fists; he has been a part of the Deathwatch far longer than even I. Utilize his wisdom and his combat experience against the xenos threat to help you make the most sound decisions in battle. Brother Malkavian of the Blood Angels; Save for my own brothers back on Fenris, I have never seen any Space Marine that fights his foes with outlandish savagery. However, I fear that it may be his undoing in the future. Ensure that he doesn't get carried away throughout your mission. And finally, Brother Dovah of the Salamanders; With his custom Infernus Heavy Bolter, he will lay down holy fire and bolt rounds to the enemy without mercy. This mission is of utmost importance. Stealth and subterfuge is required for success. And to aid you in this regard, I have requested the Techpriests to provide you with modified versions of you Mk VIII Power Armour. Your new armor will be less durable than standard, but in exchange you will be granted extra mobility as well as the capability to move in and out of the mission area unseen. This mission will be codenamed: "Operation: Midnight Fenrir". You will report to me directly via vox as to the status of your mission. Let me know if additional support is required. Failure is not an option, Brother Raziel. Stop the Eldar at any cost. Suffer not the alien to live. For the Emperor! ++++END TRANSMISSION++++ Because I dislike the Scout models, I thought I'd make my own Deathwatch Kill Team using Space Wolf Scout rules. Only their weapons are WYSIWYG but for game purposes, these guys are my Scouts. They are the best option I have for them as they are the only Space Marines, other than Grey Knights that have ATSKNF. Here's the general gear for them at the moment. Dark Angel: Power Sword and Bolt Pistol Blood Angel: Shotgun Ultramarine: Sniper Rifle (proxying with Stalker Bolter) Imperial Fist: Bolt Pistol and combat blade Salamander Gunner: Heavy Bolter and Flamer (shown here as the Infernus Heavy Bolter) What do you guys think?
