So I was thinking for this ETL my IH models will be painted for the Sons of Medusa. I'm not a real fan of the bright emerald green scheme though and was thinking about alternatives. I really like the muted sea green of the Sons of Horus and want to hear your thoughts on using that color for the Sons of Medusa. With white helmets and black trims ofc. Here's an exanple of my SoH that show the green I was talking about http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn18/mperssonbmmseifer/IMG_1205_zpsiqxxfjja.jpg

Greetings, Im going to be keeping a WIP log of my new Sons of Medusa army. Currently ive got a mostly finished Tac squad. Im just waiting on some custom shoulder pads to come in the mail to finish them. This is a pic of my first Sergeant with combi-grav. Let me know what you think.

I will preface this with the fact I don't know his point cost yet. But he seems really good. 2+ WS/BS, S5, T6, 5W, 2+,4++, Hammer is Sx2, -3, d3 and any unsaved wound spawns a mortal wound on a 4+. His plasma cutter is master crafted and only mortal wounds on a 1 if overcharged not removes the model. He has the usual blessing of omnissiah and has a 6" bubble of reroll ALL failed to hit rolls for "Sons of Medusa" units. If he is not too overpriced, this will be perfect for my dreadnought army.

Hi Guys Sally here, Ive actually started a personal project and I really need your help. Ive never played 40k I'm actually coming from a Fantasy background but here in the studio we are having a little bit of fun and doing a 'tale of X gamers' So firstly I have little to no idea about whats hot and whats not in 40K. :S I have currently these 10 bad boys: 5 termies, an attack bike and a land raider redeemer housed under my desk. The problem is whilst I'm alright with a paintbrush I'm certainly clueless when it comes to 40k gaming. I know you guys know your stuff and don't want to go an invest heaps of time into models that may be pretty much useless in the game. A big part of Fantasy gaming for me is keeping with the fluff and giving my armies character so I've read up on the Son's and to my knowledge they're very into the machine god. Do any of you already have a Son's List? how do you find them? did you build your list round fluff or solely competitive play? Would you take a master of the forge? How do they fair? I'm pretty lost here, not only being the only girl in the studio I'm also the only one who doesn't have a clue when it comes to 40K :S eek! Would be awesome to rock up to games night having at least some idea. Thanks guys! Any help will greatly be appreciated!

I recently looked into Sons of Medusa as an alternate - non black - paint scheme. Anyway. while I was reading up on them I noticed some inconsistencies. What I know so far is that the Moirae Schism got it's name from the Moerae of greek mythology. The three Fates. Two of the three War Clans are aptly named after these figures as well, Atropos and Lachesis. The third War Clan Mageara however seems to have been named after Megaera, who is one of the three Furies. That seemed odd to me and I was wondering if anybody knew if there is a background reason for that? Aside from that my investigation so far into the three War Clans in terms of iconography also revealed some interesting contradictions. War Clan Mageara The old school, all green except for the white helmet and badge scheme. The Clan symbol is a front facing snake as per the image in the 6th edition Space Marine codex. War Clan Atropos The scheme from Imperial Armor 10, the second Badab War book (This book has all schemes, even the Mageara variant with black trims). Green main color, black trims, white helmet and the chapter badge is black and the negative space is filled white. The Clan symbol is identical to the Iron Hand Clan Atraxii. This had me confused. Is there a story to that? War Clan Lachesis I couldn't find any further information about these guys, except that IA10 says they use silver-steel in their heraldry. Which I imagine means they paint the chapter badge silver instead of white. Is there any further info on the Clan or does anybody have an idea what their symbol might be? In summary I have three big questions Why the inconsistency in naming the War Clans? Why are the Atraxii and Atropos symbols identical? And what does Lachesis' symbol look like?
