Hey there you Gitz! after my failing during my first ETL, I want to redeem myself during the currently running DA WAAAGH. Although some other Bosses and myself discuessed a little bit about a possible Ork-Event after ETL, Captain Semper beat us to it and created da Waaagh. Still, I think there is a very important part of the Ork life missing in this event: Building/Conversions. I personally prefer building stuff instead of painting it (which might be the reason for my huge backlog). And as any Ork player/Mek might know, you can build anything because it will work out... eventually. Unfortunately I don't have any experience with hosting an event, so I am open to criticism and suggestions. I thought it would be nice to inspire the participants of Da Waaagh to go the extra mile and build the units they want to vow for the painting event and compete with other aspiring Mekboys. Here are my suggestions: DURATION: Start date: Orktober 1st, 2019 End date: Nobvember 30th, 2019 Participants may enter any time. RULES: The entries must be supported by the W40k Ork faction on the B&C. (so everything Orky from GW and FW - except AI. Fortifications and Looted Knights/Titans are the only exception, although they won't be eligible for the Waaagh) You must start by making one vow with at least one game-legal unit. There is no limit to the number of units per vow or how many vows you make, but the vows must be sequential. You must complete a vow before you start the next one. Be careful to complete your vows. If any of your vows fail, you will be an Oiler Grot who bit off more than he can chew. You must provide evidence of progress. So a "before" and "after" picture for each unit pledged. WIP pics are welcomed and encouraged. Scratch building is allowed, but be sure to keep the right dimensions and stay true to WYSIWYG! A Morkanaut count-as-Stompa is still no proba Stompa! As mentioned above, each uprising Mek/participant is required to make a binding vow. Please use the standard format below or any other similar format that will contain the vital information: Once a vow is posted, there is no going back. If you fail, no matter the reason, you will be labled as an Oiler Grot. REWARDS: All of you who successfully complete their pledged vows in time, will be awarded the appropriate rank (possible Badges in the link): 1 Ork Unit: Burna 2-3 Ork Units: Mekboy 4 Ork Units: Big Mek 5+ Ork Units: Mega Big Mek And for the best conversion/scratch build in the vowed units, there will be an extra reward: The Mad Mek! The title of best conversion will be awarded to the finished conversion with the most likes. As mentioned above, if you shame Mork (or maybe Gork) with not fullfilling your vows, you will be labled as an Oiler Grot and need to bear this badge of shame: DeRome's Notes: While highly encouraged, you do not need to paint/vow the units you pledged in the Mekboy Workshop for the Waaagh!. This event exists to inspire you to build new Ork units and challenges you to an even higher level of conversion, befitting a Mekboy. If anyone want to provide better badges, just PM me... these are the first ones I made. @Captain Semper: Sorry for hijacking your event! If you have any suggestions how to integrate these two events together (or anything else), just message me. So get to your drafting tables and plan your creations, before Orktober starts! Until then, you can discuss your plans in this thread. Best regards, DeRome List of participants (alphabetical order) DeRome90 - 1 unit of 5 Stormboyz (Vow complete) toaae - 1 Dakkajet (Failed) The_Chaplain - 1 Battlewagon with Supa Kannon (Vow 1 complete) - 1 unit of Grot Tanks (Vow 1 complete) - 1 Warboss on Bike (Vow 1 complete) - 1 unit of Grots (Vow 2 complete) - 1 Mega Grot Tank (Vow 2 complete) - 1 Gorkanaut (Vow 2 complete) Urauloth - 1 Unit of 10 Nobz (Vow complete)

B&C-20 The Inner Circle Presents: +++WAAAGH! 2019+++ INTRODUCTION This is a painting event designed to boost the Orky presence in the B&C, giving the Greenskin community an event to call their own! However, the event is not designed only for the hardcore Ork players but to all of us that have even a fleeting interest in the fantastic Ork range Who knows, this event may become the foundation of a mighty Waaagh! in the months and years to come. Joining the Waaagh! The “Waaagh!” event is meant to drive people to paint game-legal Ork units that could be additions to a pre-existing force or a Kill-Team force or even the foundations of a new army. Of course, if people want to go crazy and build Ghazghul’s Great Waaagh! down to the last Grot, I will not be the one to stop them! So, the challenge is to paint at least one game-legal Ork unit in the next three months. If you manage to do so, then you’ll receive the appropriate badge and you may carry it with pride in your signature! If you complete more than one unit then greater recognitions will be bestowed upon you! DURATION: Start date: September 15th, 2019 End date: December 15th, 2019 (all day for all time-zones) Participants may enter at any time - there is no cut-off date to get in. The deadline is immovable though so plan your free time accordingly to avoid disappointment. RULES: The entries must be supported by the Ork faction on the B&C. Simple. This includes any 40k Ork unit from any GW or FW range. No small planes here… (*wink-wink*) You must start by making one vow with at least one game-legal unit. There is no limit as to the number of units per vow – that’s up to you, but you only get THREE vows in total! Your vows must be sequential, i.e. you must complete a vow before following up with another. You may never have two vows outstanding at the same time. Your follow-up vows, if any, may also include any number of units in each. However, if you fail to complete even a single unit within a vow, you’ll prove yourself to be a Snot and will have to carry the badge of the Snot in utter shame. You must provide evidence of progress. This translates to posting a “before” and “after” picture for EACH unit pledged! You are welcome to post as many WIP pics as you like but the “before” and “after” are compulsory. As mentioned above, each participant is required to make a binding vow. Please use the standard format below or any other format that will contain the vital information i.e. the info in brackets: I [enter your name] will join the Waaagh! and vow to complete [enter number and details of units] before December 15th 2019. If I do this successfully, I will receive the rank I deserve in the Waaagh! and continue rampaging across the Galaxy. If I fail I’ll just prove I’m a Snot! Once you take a vow there is no going back. If you fail for whatever reason to complete by December 15th, 2019 you will be a Snot – no two ways about it. Real life happens to all so make sure your vow is on the safe side! REWARDS: All of you who participate in the Waaagh! may wear the relevant badge: For those who successfully complete their pledged units in a timely fashion will be awarded the appropriate rank, depending on how many units they bring into the Waaagh! There are 6 distinct ranks based on the amount of units completed by each participant: 1 Ork Unit: Ork Nob 2 Ork Units: Ork Boss 3 Ork Units: Ork Big Boss 4 Ork Units: Ork Mega Boss 5+ Ork Units: Arch-Arsonist (only the coolest title ever!!!) Those who fail to complete even one of their pledged units will just be revealed for what they truly are: Snotlings! And to show this to the world you’ll have to wear the appropriate badge: Similar square badges for all ranks will be available by the end of the event. Now you may wear this as standalone badge or combine it with the generic participation badge thus: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ DA TOP GANZ And for those who like to live dangerously, uncover the spoiler tags at your own peril!!! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CAPTAIN SEMPER NOTES: Well this is the first Xenos event run by the Inner Circle. I was inspired by the Orks’ performance in the ETL with their 100% completion rate and their colorful work. However, and despite their dedication, their numbers were too thin to challenge other more populous Forums. Well, increasing the Orks’ footprint in the B&C seems to me like a worthy and noble task! Hopefully this event will attract the attention of many frater and increase the popularity of Orks in the B&C making this sub-community even more vibrant and interactive! I sure hope this will be the first of a series of Waaaghs and the following will be such as to justify this becoming an annual event! I would like to take this opportunity to thank @Grotsmasha, the Inner Circle’s Master of the Arsenal for his tireless efforts to provide the unique images of the event, for giving me his feedback on the development of the rules and for putting up with my constant demands! Happy painting! Captain Semper Member of the Inner Circle The Master of Recruits
