Ok - Dark Eldar units are spiky, delicate, and generally awkward to store and transport. How do you guys/gals manage? Post pictures, if you have them! (I'll grab some later, I promise.) Pluck foam - how deep? Magnetised your sails, bases, whatnot - what size magnets? Deets please. For myself - I used 4x2mm magnets to replace the ball and socket joints on my hellions. For my venoms, I used 5x1mm ones to replace the socket of the flying stand where it meets the actual base - since I wanted to pretty them up a bit. I'm still struggling to figure out how to transport the little gits though, especially the raider/razorwing/etc that I intend to pick up at some point - it's hard to judge the kind of foam necessary, and a lot of companies seem to think you'll store them with the flying stand (and sails) permanently glued on, like a lunatic. Hence, the thread! Show me your solutions.

Wondering what some of you 40k Death Guard players are using to transport or store your models in please? Specifically I am wondering what foam options or other alternative ideas people have to keep tidy and prevent damage etc. I have a host of Feldherr cases for my other models / games, and several older GW cases with foam designed for 25mm bases. I'm looking at the option to replace some of that foam with newer stuff that will fit models like Blightlord Terminators and Plague Marines, alongside PBC's and FBD's. I was hoping to avoid buying another new case (I have like 8+ already!) and just wanted the foam, I do like the idea of the newer GW case foam but I don't believe it's available anywhere separately. I did consider the magnetising of bases and using a metal toolbox or tin of sorts, but I'd likely do more damage to the models rattling around inside if I should accidentally handle it without due care. I have used the Feldherr pick and pluck foam, but wasn't keen on it at all.
