Greetings humans, heretics, xeno and mutants. First time poster long time since I've touched the hobby with a 40,000ft pole. I used to post on the WargamerAU forums under "Ralshar" about 15years ago and recently got back into converting because :cuss it what else have I got going on right meow? After 15 years out of the game I decided to challenge myself to see if I still had it by converting a standard marine into a true scale wolf lord using only the dated pieces I had in my old as sin bitz box. And this here is the end result! If you're on the bookface page "40k kitbash carnage" then first of all, I'm sorry. Second, this may look familiar as I posted about it rather frequently as I built. I'll be posting the quasi step by step pics with some explination after this if anyones interested. Like I said, 15 years in between conversions and sculpting so be gentle. But critical.

Hi folks, i recently returned to the hobby having spent some time away (8yrs since i was last here!) and thought that by posting something it would force my hand to actually completing it. I've been collecting on and off for 20 something years and clearly a lot has changed, but thankfully my stash of hoarded minis (while many are missing) turned up some gems when i decided to pull them out of storage. Most notably - these guys: some might scream sacrilege, but the box had been opened years ago, although i couldnt bring myself to clip the sprues and actually assemble them for fear of not doing them justice.. but since its now 2020 and theres not a lot to do ive busted them out, results below: turns out the photo looks a lot better on my phone.. might have to work on photography as this project progresses... you will also note that while RTB01 came with 30 marines i have 40 assembled! magic? heresy? turns out i actually had a little 10man squad handy too :) Turns out its still a pretty great kit to mess around with and considering the limited number off individual pieces i tried to make sure they were as interesting/dynamic as i could get them, to reduce the monopose factor. here they are in a more detailed weird montage form: Now that the modelling part is done (over s series of weekends) i need to get them painted! I'm a little torn about this because being a long-standing DA fan i can really see them all being painted in the old first legion black, although part of me wants to set a few aside and recreate some of the other legions from back in the day.. BA, UM, CF, SW, LotD etc.. but here's always something nice about having a consistent dedicated approach - first world problems i guess! Anyway, just wanted to share and will be sure to keep progress (and motivation) updated.

Hey all, Turns out moving house is a great was to find old stuff - some of which i thought i'd share here as a record - since i can now! (my previous B&C incarnation was back in the power armour only days). Its not the whole army - but its a lot of it, and the photos had to be taken somewhat covertly so no full army shots. Missing about 16 metal harlequins, 1st ed dreadnought (wraithlord), some of my less impressive aspect warriors (HB's, DA's, SH's and more WS's) The bulk were painted back in the 90's with a few updates such as the pathfinders and re-done warp spiders. I'll start with the heavy hitters: Avatar - still a beast! Eldrad and his retinue: Now for the phoenix lords and their aspects - i didnt photograph them all (my hawks and avengers were pretty average) I also created my back in the day, since Warp Spiders were lacking without an explanation, Ariadnos: Now for the Aspect Warriors - the bulk painted 15-20yrs ago, warp spiders more recently (5-10?) Wraithguard (re-painted in the 5-10yrs ago window): Vehicles: Rangers/Pathfinders - two flavours: And last but not least - about half of the guardians: Thanks for indulging me in this trip down memory lane!
