I recently found an excellent blogspot detailing a fan interpretation of the oft overlooked War of the False Primarch. For those who may have forgotten, it was an eight-decade long conflict in the Segmentum Pacificus from 780.M33 to 860.M33. Little is known about this apparently highly destructive conflict, other than it saw eleven chapters that sided with the so-called Primarch eventually annhilated by five chapters dubbed 'The Pentarchy of Blood'. These five chapters were the Flesh Eaters, Carcharodons, Death Eagles, Red Talons, and the Charnel Guard. So, with that limited information and perhaps some inspiration from the blogspot that I will link below, what is your personal theories on this buried war? What exactly was the False Primarch? An Abomination masquerading as the returned Son of the Emperor through psychic deception? Perhaps one of the Lost Primarchs returned to spite the Imperium that erased them one last time? https://warofthefalseprimarch.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2022-06-22T14:11:00Z&max-results=18&start=11&by-date=false Here is the link to the blog that inspired this thread.

'What, then, are we to make of them, this strange group from beyond the Rim? Words have power. One must be careful to avoid legitimising this threat. Thus, only one label will suit to neuter reports of these frauds: pseudolegion.' [//Tang Rejarrad, Ordo Pacificus+] *** [//Redacted+] *** In between other things, I've been working away at this project for more than a year, a period that saw a problem with sharing images here. That (happily) seems to have been resolved, so now I've got some way to post them, I thought I'd share some finished shots here. Hope you like 'em! [//Redacted+] Having said 'finished', the Predator's still on the workbench; I've been playing about with some oil washes, so waiting for those to dry before I move on. [//Redacted+]

*** It is the thirty-fourth Millennium. Or perhaps the thirty-third. Few now stand securely enough both to claim differently – and to be heard. All is unsure, all is uncertain. Under the benevolent eye of the Senatorum Imperialis – the High Lords of Terra – the Imperium basks in a golden age. The heretics of millennia past are extinguished or contained; the xenos empires that threatened mankind's manifest destiny broken or scattered. Humanity is united in the worship of the enthroned God-Emperor, whose words are revealed to the Ecclesiarch of the Imperial Church. This is one truth. Others say that the Emperor is dead, or as good-as; that His dream has grown rotten beneath the surface. Others claim oppression, or restriction, or loss. Tales of predation by aliens; of harrowings by pirates and heretics and monsters, emerge daily, and are suppressed by His Inquisition, for fear of disturbing the flock. In the galactic north-west (if such an antiquated system has meaning in a galaxy as vast and wondrous as this) tales emerge of another truth. Tales come of the return of a legend, so ancient that the High Lords believe the word all-but forgotten. Primarch. *** +[identquery: unresoved – all records REDACTED]+ *** #iwanttoknow
