Theres a few conversions and a new colour scheme for the DA vehicles as well as a Light Armoured Vehicle for use by the Ravenwing. kanan Posted March 9, 2007 Author Share Posted March 9, 2007 thank you pulse. i just liked the look of the model and of course its not legal for a game but it remined me of the extended wheel base land rovers the S.A.S. used in iraq in 91 and 2002. the space marine land speeder is basically fulfilling a similar role on the battlefields of W40K. On your MM termie, that conversion had occurred to me as well, but I was just going to use him as a "counts as" a.cannon. Seemed like a cheap way to get a couple of AC termies for other squads. kanan Posted March 29, 2007 Author Share Posted March 29, 2007 thanks for the encouraging comments. i want at least 3 of these speeders as i have 2 more tornado kits to build and have the remains of my DA army deal, in particular the predator which will give me the heavy bolter sponsons ill need for the speeder. so in addition to the standard armament of the 2 heavy bolters theyll either have a multi melta, assault cannon or a heavy flamer depending on their battlefield role. theyll be part of the support choices for my ravenwing detachment. all in all by may 2008 ill have; 4 x 10 Tactical 4 x 5 Deathwing 2 x 10 Assault 2 x 10 Devestator 4 x 5 Veterans 3 x Land Speeders 3 x Support Land Speeders 2 x Land Raider Crusaders 1 x Land Raider 2 x Predators 4 x Rhinos 3 x Space Marine LAVs* *(Tamiya Japan Ground Self Defence Force Light Armoured Vehicle {1/35th Item 35275*2800}) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

kanan Posted April 1, 2007 Author Share Posted April 1, 2007 thank you scipio.au for the comments and the vehicle is a tamiya 1/35th scale japanese ground self defence force light armoured vehicle (iraq humanitarian assistance unit). the item number so you can order it is tamiya 1/35 (ITEM 35275)*2800. you should find it at any good model shop if its not in stock im sure a retailer can order it in as its a new kit. khan of soup the multi melta was awesome, i played a game on my living room floor from 1 am till 6am this morning. i dont have much scenery at the moment but books and some model railway foliage was fine for a really fun game. the multi melta terminator took out a chaos night lords land raider ~grins~ so it was great in a game but youll need players consent to field him. i think GW should make the model personally as theres no reason why a tactical dreadnought armoured marine cant use a multi melta as a regular space marine can quite happily.
