some other names i might use;

Eriaz, Fallon, Duettor, Gabriel, Sapphon, Kerras, Serias, Logarn, Tirros, Uziel, Aeriaz, Tiranos, Makis, Karle, Varlonn, Demetas, Ralor & Zenn.

anyone want to add some names to this please go ahead as it might prove useful for other Dark Angel players stumped on what to name their Marines.

PS i made up all the names used above apart from the following Crazy Horse, Sapphon, Uziel & Gabriel. it took ages coming up with all those :)

Hail Brother!

That Chainfist looks brutal and the Multi-melta is a really natural looking conversion (my favourite kind), I particularly like the extra pyrum-petrol cylinder on his belt.

I'm a big fan of the multi-melta, however I think the chainfist is a bit much. While it's extended, it looks too long and unwieldly IMO. Also, when I first saw the speeders I thought you were going to give them glass windows, then you painted over them <_<. They still look good but thought windows would have been better.

hey Khrangar, im pleased you liked the Multi-melta. the chainfist is just something i came up with when i was playing a friend of mines eldar a year or so back. we were talking and i suggested to him that id prefer a more destructive chainfist and so my extended chainfists were created. theres special rules for it. i think i rolled an extra dice for armour penetration.

the speeders are a love of mine. i do like to convert them. the current evolution is the Tsunami pattern Landspeeder. but you are refering to my version of the Tempest. it funny because i was using clear plastic sheet but i wanted to make armour plates not arma-glass windows. youve given me an idea to make a windshield for my next speeder. the thing is i got bleed off from the joins with the super glue and that made them cloudy. i have to think of a better way to make a clear canopy/windshield. anyways thanks for all the interest and input.

hey Stella Cadante, yah the Multi melta is pretty nice. i want to try and experiment a bit more with weapons for my Deathwing. maybe some power mauls or power glaves. im not sure at present which way i want to go. the chainfists are something people are going to either like alot or not at all. just something i like to give my Terminators to make them more intimidating. anyways i added some little details to my LC Marine and added an autocannon to the enclosed Tsunami/Tempest. its basically ready for painting now. if you compare these pics to the previous ones you can see i smoothed out the corner armour panels so they look more flat. the problem i had was i had used too much GS on the panels so they looked very rounded. im happier with them now.

+++ edit +++

ok i just finished this guy. hes a Trooper from my 7th Special Operation Group "Fallen Hunters" , i havent got a name for him as yet. i think hell be tricky to paint as i glued the arms on but well see when it comes to painting him.

Hey Kanan

Looking good,the Chainfist looks lethal,i think i may have to borrow that for my Terminators(when i get some obviously)and that multi-melta looks wicked,almost looks as though it was made like that. The Tsunami is wicked,and it looks a lot better now that youve smoothed it down about.

The unnamed trooper: James "Wolverine" Howlett.For those of you uncommon with the origins of James Howlett ,it was wolverines birth name,he chose to live by the name Logan so that he was harder to track down.

I love your army,they kinda make me think about how i imagine my army to look,i want to have lots of converted troops who look very mean and brutal,and im keen on converting vehicles to my own ideas of what they should look like.

Keep Up The Good Work =]

Hail Brother!

The Tsunami looks aces! ;) The canopy looks great (what happened to rivets though?). You decided not to mount a 2nd Autocannon on the Tsunami? It still looks awesome but I prefer a more guns policy.

Your Deathwing are looking brutal as usual, I really like the jewellery chain on the shoulder pad.

thanks Jed. it makes me happy you like what i have been able to come up with. when are you getting a speeder kit?

i have some more ideas for conversions so get on msn so we can discuss things lol. oh and i was a big fan of the X-Men and Logan was my favourite. so i will name my SOG operative James "Wolverine" Howlett. thanks for showing your support and interest mate. i really appreciate it. speak to you soon bud. takecare.

hail fellow Battle-Brother Usiel, the Tsunami/Tempest isnt quite finished. i will be putting on those rivets you suggested but im keeping the weapon loadout as is, apart from a nose mounted heavy weapon. when i have done more i will be sure to post up pics for you. anyways how are your Dark Angels coming along? you finished anything of late? oh and thanks for the compliment mate. glad you liked the Deathwing. i have two more to make and i also have to come up with names for them. i am going to get some architectural model making bits from my local art store. at the end of the month. i want to try and do something with the bases of my Dark Angels.

it was good to hear from you. have a good week.

if you look at my thread from the beginning youll understand why it looks that way as i explained it. as its supposd to look like "in the field" modifications carried out just before a major assault. cheers for the comment.

well i have almost finished putting together my Fallen Dark Angel Captain. he leads a small war band that for all intense purposes seem to be made up of of true Chaos Marines. ah but theres a twist, these Fallen who have succumbed to the ravages of the Warp have not turned from the light of the Emperor. they have scattered themselves throughout the Eye of Terror and soon will combine forces and attack Abbadon the Despoiler. their aim is simple. to elimate the only force capable of uniting all the remaining Chaos Legions against the Imperium in a last final Black Crusade. These Fallen led by a Captain Ariel Nathaniel who was formerly the Battle Captain of the 3rd Battle Company. he disappeared in 3721022M.41 when the assault cruiser he was on was declared Lost in the Warp during a standard Warp exit manouvre. all the Marines aboard the ship "Angels Absolute Vengeance" were assumed killed. on the Rock a candle was lit for each of the 88 Marines who were thought to have lost their lives....

Everything looks awesome.

If I may make a suggestion. If your SOG isn't finished then see if you can model the sniper aiming his bolter. I did a conversion like that and it looks really cool. Also the easiest way to get good handgrips is to take a knife and cut right at the bottom of the blade. You get a bayonet and a sturdy grip.

Keep up the great work

hey Red-Dragon thanks for the comments man. i really appreciate the interest. my Fallen Dark Angel Captain Ariel Nathanielle is getting re-moddelled and i am going to experiment with sculpting with GS for the first time. i am actually a little nervous about messing up big time with the stuff lol.

hey snorkle thanks for the praise man. ~smiles~ you know thats a bloody good idea. i am going to work on some stuff tonight and i will be making that particular SOG operative aim with his sniper rifle. i have a few spare arms and i have a feeling the missile launcher arm will be useful. and great idea for the SM combat knives. i will be sure to take up your advice. thanks alot mate.

hey Patrick O))) glad you like the MK II Predator. so you think losing a few of the tiles would make it look better? how many though? should i make it so they follow the shape of the Predator hull better. its just the plates are made up of squares of armour so i would only want to remove individual squares so it doesnt look stupid. reply back and tell me what you think i should do in a bit more detail. thank you for all the help. takecare mate.

hey wiplash glad you fell in love with the Landspeeder i made. the Tsunami is rather lovely isnt it? and the LAV is just the ticket. i really think GW should make a wheeled SM vehicle like that tamiya kit but of course with GW touches. and yes there will actually be a decent update at the end of the weekend. im on the computer for the moment but i will be working on some more SOG operatives and the Pred as well as my Fallen Battle-Captain Ariel. i will take loads of pics and post up the update sunday night. so check back after then to have a look ok? takecare mate and thanks for all the interest.
