Post your Apothecary

The Raven

Recommended Posts

My three apotecharies up to date who are somewhat representable so far. They are still WIP and needs a bit more detail and highlights, specially on their black areas. They are all from my DA chapter, the Consecrators.

First to the left is brother Joseph apotechary in the 2:nd company's first Commandsquad

Middle is brother Dorian who serves in the 1:st company's main Terminator Commandsquad

And last is a sister soritas named Saga who has joined the chapter in their cause after a rescuemission in the Cenarion IV campaign.

As you see none of these fellas are to be messed with unless you're trying to get yourself killed.

The pictures came out a bit blurry but it was the best I could do for now, I'm still trying to figure out the best setting for the camera.

I still dont get how any respectable apothecary can do battlefield surgery when his tools are on the side of a lightning claw... otherwise, great work!

Check out those claws man. Those aren't "wolverine" style. They swing up to allow him to do the delicate work of ripping out the organs of his comrades. Most effective

Sinsinatus

Wow OMG, what did you use for the jump priests helmet on the right half (his left)? I can tell you used a different color to bisect the gold helmet to continue the halved color scheme, wondering what color or mix you used for it, its fantastic. Great models all round but that stuck out in particular.

Thanks gents.

@atra angelus; that color is Steel from Iron Wind Metals (formally Ral Partha IIRC). It’s a rather dark metallic that mixes well to create “metallic shadow” but I used it as the base coat in this case.

Tough to find but one of my favorite metallic colors. I always buy extra when I find it.

Cheers, -OMG

Wow Dominus Ex! :)

That is probably the grittiest and most realistic painting I've ever, ever, ever (ever) seen.

It really captures the atmosphere of the scene and the grim realism of war in the 40k universe.

I also love thos glowing eyes

There are a lot of other great ones but that one has got to be my favourite. Maybe my favourite model of all time :P

Cheers,

TiJ

Looks like wrath_child's friend and Imperial Templari should join us in the Cult of Orange.

You can get Ironwind Steel here: http://www.ironwindmetals.com

Love their paints, its too bad they cut the paint line down to bare bones when the became IWM.

This is an old Apoc, Salamander, RT style color scheme:
