Few things that you could possibley do are instead of showing her with legs like a custodes is to have a long flowing bottom half of a robe as described in Flight of the Eisenstien, or maybe have that idea as one of the squad leaders/commanders. Beeing so small makes them difficult. I'll also do 7 or 8 total individuals, wich will have slightly different armor.. there are just so many examples in the Horus Heresy books, so i couldn't decide :-). Did i forget my Custodes the last 8 weeks? No of course not. I did the ironworks for the armys 2 Raiders soon to come. Im still working on the first Termi prototype soon to be revealed. Besides that i got 6 sisters nearly done, just needing weaponry and tabards. I had time to think about the way to go with this army and made some decisions: How to do basing? It's allways great to see Custodes like the artwork and not golden marines with halberds and high elf helmets. :) It's good to see you've put some proper length on the models to. The "normal" true-scale procedure hardly does the fluff justice. Few people take the real time, and you have. They need more detail on them to fit in with the snazzy weapons some of the other sisters are carrying. Nice work painting and converting up the figures though, keep it up. I didn't mean that there's something wrong with using sprue to make stuff, but it shouldn't be obvious that it's sprue by the time the model's finished. One way to add interest to weapons is to add small raised areas from thin plasticard and tiny rivets here and there, as GW have been doing that to cuboid bits of plastic since they first created bolt weapons <_< Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I really like the jump pack sisters, what do their weapons count as? At first I thought the guns were slightly too plain, but the more I looked at them the more I realised that they matched the simple armour the sisters were wearing, and (as Psythu says) they only look plain compared to the other weaponry. I was going to suggest that, if it wasn't too late, you model a cartridge ejection system for empty shell casings - but I went back over the previous posts and your test piece had one, so I presume they all do. Have you made the guns so the cartridges eject on opposite sides? (right for right handed weapon and left for left), and is that why they don't show up in the pictures? and if that is the case, perhaps paint a small 'engraved' emblem on the opposite side or the weapon, for visual interest, you obviously have the skill. It was my intention to make them quite simple, elegant, small. All detail is just painted on. Would you personally prefer a more sophisticated style? The others are in even more experimental stages, so fel free to critisize hard, i can still change anything. I will definitely keep the Size and Volume - they are head to head with the other custodes and a bit smaller than the Emperor. Imagine him golden with jewels and such stuff. I want an own style of armor for every custodian termi, so the progress is damn slow. Making two of them is as time consuming as a new emperor would be.
