The Dominus Ex Machina

Recommended Posts

That is the most impressive GS work i have seen in ages Freakforge, and it matches perfectly with Deux's awsome painting skills. cheers to both

@deux: Your pilot cabin is great, but myself, i imagine a titans cockpit something much... darker, do not forget that the imperial architecture is based on our gothic style, and thats not a bright style at all

thats why i find your cabin a bit... brighty, you could try to darken the lights of the screens, as well as the metals and the goldens. it may result in a "too dark" combination, but thats where you add some light source effect to the pilots' head and gloves.

Try to imagine the interior of an Abraham tank: Somewhere dark, and maybe a bit claustrophobic, only lightened by the light of the screens and buttons...

I think it would give a much more realistic look to this, already fantastic creation

Congratulations to you both, keep up the good work!

I am not sure about the cabin being too bright at the moment. This is all going to be enclosed most of the time, and when it is, the only thing you'll really be able to see is the screens themselves. If only you had the canopy to just to fit over to see how it will actually be lit on the inside most of the time.

But then again, im a little crazy

Great work. Miles ahead of anything i can do.

" ... and the Freak will come back from the grave .... MUAHAHAHA ... "

After some holidays and other kind of disgusting social events, I came back with some news in the sculpting aspects of this crazy project.

I have some sketches to share ... the back of the beast is the piece of armour to "ornate".

As you may see , I plan to finish the model sculpting trying to make this Titan soem kind of religios-epic monument with movement , and some badass weapons aswell , hehe !

I´m not sure about the head of the statue ... human , warhound , techpriest , angel or demi-god... there´s a lot of options . Dominus, your choice !

Here´s some detail view of the components.

Well , I hope to hear a lot of comments ... this piece of armour is the most difficult to me to ornate .

Thanks

Wow, that's cool !

Do you allow me to paint that T with the skulls and the ring on the leg plates on my Titan ? Surely it will not turn out half as good as yours will, but I ask nonetheless :P

Dominus, love your work.

With the heraldry of the wolf (or dog, but i assume its a wolf) on the shield, both patterns are good, but i hav an issue with the actual wolf itself a little 'limp wristed' Normally, when an animal is depicted rampant on heraldry, its front paws/feet/claws etc will be either flat, or angled up at the wrist, making the animal look agressive or combative, like this.

At the moment, yours are angled down, which i find makes the wolf look a little submissive, an I'm assuming you werent going for that.

Just my 2c.

Let's see ...

Not sure about Sweden, but boot camp here in the US is 10 weeks long, plus whatever specialty training you signed up/ got 'voluntold' for, so it's probably going to be quiet for another month-and-a-half or so on Deus Ex's side of the wall.

Other comments: wow, OMG, etc... pardon me while I run to the hospital to get my jaw put back together, it seems to have shattered when it hit the floor.

As far as the heraldry goes, I lean more toward the Imperial, but with the red cogs of the AdMech added to the black. Just use Vallejo bermellon red and Scarlet for the highlights (yes, that's *very* bright reds, but it looks great)

Can't wait to see more.

i had a read of this thread from start to finish. all i can say is WOW. what an undertaking. i love the paint scheme so far. the green was truly the best choice to go for by a long way. love the attention to detail in the cockpit area and FreakForge your GS-fu is truly awesome! you have indeed attained higher levels. ~bows low~ i have much to learn. time to break out the GS and the scupting tools me thinks. again great collaborative work guys. hope the delay isnt too long before you post again.

good luck Dominus Ex Machina in your military training, hope you do well.

peace

The transport vehicle looks battered and damaged! The foul xenos must have attempted to destroy the mighty titan on its way to the construction yard!

Looks like its alot of work though >.> I will be interested to see the end result especially if freak forge is working on it too!

Haha....us foul "xenos" don't take care of packages(I used to work fedex....FYI,don't ship using fedex)

On topic: good luck with the project, seems like you got some solid ideas.
