Reaper31
My entry is doomed... At least my entry ain't alone then ;) TDA Well...count me in too. Join the club. <_< Ooooh is this the part where we complain about how badly our minis will loose? Yay Ill join! Ah well, its all good fun anyways! Good luck to all who entered, and may the best man/heretic win! Reaper31 PS:whens the entry pics guna be up and running????!
Chronophague
PS:whens the entry pics guna be up and running????! We'll you are gonna be waiting a bit longer. There are 44 Frater entries and 13 mod entries for a total of around 171 pictures. So it's gonna take me the better part of the day to get things set up and ready (no thanks to those of you who sent in the 800k single photos.......). So I suspect voting will either start late today or first thing tomorrow. Reading skills ftw. Cheers
Wiflewood
Kurgan posted that Yesterday though, so 'first thing tomorrow' would mean today :)
HellChyld
keep your shorts on. he'll mostlikely have them up later today as he announced. atleast you dont have to wait several days like some forums where they have 2 or 3 people working on it and you wait a week before voting starts. NeoHunter
He probably has too many entries to sort out. And don't forget! Each entry can have up to 4 pictures. Do the math.
Allerka
Keeping in mind, the bulk image uploader only lets you do four pictures at a time, plus he can only re-upload them to the B&C server as fast as his own bandwidth will allow, then organize, label, and provide another other editing to each entry. Doesn't help, like he said, when some pics are nearly a meg big a piece (If you estimate one MB total size per entry, that's 44 megs of data he has to upload, and most home internet connections have very limited upload speeds). At least, that's what I'm GUESSING he's doing. :P
TheDarkApostle
Then you also have to take into concideration that Kurgan suddenly might get caught up with his work IRL and thus prolonging it ever more then already necessery. TDA
Legacy40k
Kurgan has a life beyond this forum? Admittedly I am getting impatient, I want to see all the models that are better then mine!, I kept all my pictures to 200k or less so hopefully they didn't need reediting. LunchBox
Please do not discuss the contest entries until voting has concluded!! OK...but I'll risk saying this: :P W O W :jaw: Great job, Frater, and Mods!
NeoHunter
Well done to all the entrants! I see a lot of great work there! I think it will be quite difficult for most people to decide on the three best painted Chaos miniatures in this competition.
Allerka
Good GOD that is some fantastic stuff! Everyone should be extremely proud of what they put out. Full armies of any of these minis would be beautiful sight, indeed. And, yes, I'm definitely boned for winning as well. :yuck: Also, I think it should be mentioned, and just to double-check, contestants can't vote for their own entries, right? :D

Maybe the winner might want to use their new minis to do that, who knows ;) And though I'm pretty sure, I know the answer, the question came to my mind, too. NeoHunter
Hmm...if you were to take all the miniatures from the contest and assemble an army, you would have the most disorganised army in the whole world I think. A riot of colours too. Hehehee... I don't think you can vote for your own entry. It wouldn't be fair.
Reaper31
I was thinking the same thing about the voting for yourself issue....But even if you could, its a rather unsportsman-like thing to do. Reaper31
Wiflewood
If you're allowed to vote for your own entry then you're effectively just reducing everyones votes to 2, as most people would vote for their own (even if just to stay in the running) There really are some awesome minis there, so many different styles of painting and converting, and loads of really cool poses as well :D
Chronophague
Some great stuff here and in the mods thread. It's going to be hard to figure out the three to cast votes on. Guess I'll just go with my oldschool approach and save the favourite models to a folder, and then reduce pics till I got 3 left. :D Cheers

So far I'm down to 4 or 5, but it's only gotten harder at this point. :P
NeoHunter
I do feel that some of the photos, especially mine, could benefit from better lighting and photography. Too bad I didn't have good lighting in the first place. So...*shrugs*
Aurelius Rex
I was thinking the same thing about the voting for yourself issue....But even if you could, its a rather unsportsman-like thing to do. Reaper31 Agreed! Voting for yourself would be a very unsportsmanlike thing to do. :) It is great to see such a vigorous community response to this competition and congratulations to everyone who entered the contest - there are a lot of really nice miniatures there and it will be really tricky to decide who finally gets the three votes in each category. :P
Allerka
Agreed! Voting for yourself would be a very unsportsmanlike thing to do. :) Oh, yes, I agree too. I just figured it should be mentioned to ensure there was no confusion. Didn't want people thinking I was asking to see if I could get away with it, or something. :P I'm still stuck at five to pick from... *Sighs*
Kurgan the Lurker
Unfortunately we had to pull an entry from both the Frater and Mod categories this morning. In the flood of entries that came in at the end I let em slip past so apologies for that. Also a good point that reading the rules thoroughly before hand! On the other hand, the folks who had their stuff pulled can of course go and post it up for discussion now.
Iacton Qruze
I'm amazed. I always figured there were a coule of people that always turned out the spectacular pieces, but there are a ton of really awesome entries. my hat is off to all the participants. brninghalo
This was the first B & C contest I have participated in. I am glad to see such a healthy turn out for entries. The mod entries and the frater entries show the amount of talent that the board comprises and it was very difficult to select only 3 of each to vote for. As many others have done, I had to save pics and then slowly eliminate until I was left with 3 in each group. I'm interested in finding out who eventually wins-they will have earned it. Congratulations to all of the entrants, both frater and mods. Thanks, Tom
