grifon
Sounds like a lot of fun, I am already about 4 weeks behind, but with October 1st as the deadline I think it will be possible. Good luck to all, can't wait to see some of the amazing entries we are sure to get! Cheers!
Teg
Only 1.5 months now... And I still haven't found that paint stripper! :pinch: I might have to resort to re-undercoating... :tu:
Maleficum
Ok, I'm probarly (well, most certainly) very stupid, but I think the Community needs more Chaos.... miniatures. Do I have to send in the WIP picture now, or do I send in all pictures at once?

Maleficum
How about you try reading through the thread before you ask questions, it might be answered already... *hint* Thanks, but there's 9 pages discussing entries, refuting claims of entering Terminators, exclamations of "awsome!" and making jokes and commenting on slow painting... ... and my eyes hurt. Teg
++ Answer to Maleficum ++ You submit the WIP and other pics at the same time. ++ A question ++ How much background/fluff do you want with each model? Nothing? Just a name? A few lines of background? ++ My news ++ I've decided to use Plan C (Dettol), since Plan A (CSC) seems to be off-market and Plan B (EZ off oven cleaner) is for Americans only.
Maleficum
++ Answer to Maleficum ++ You submit the WIP and other pics at the same time. Thanks. I had surmised as much. I'm not really entering to win, either, as I can't paint to save my life. :teehee:

Pfreck
Ok I'm in (I think). Though there's a problem, I don't have the materials for making my entry over here (my dad's house) and I'm returning to my mom's house in one week. So that means I only have 4 or 5 days left to submit an entry.. I hope I'll make it in time! cheers.

Thor Thundercaller
HAHAHA. So I've been painting for half the day, when I take some near completion photos, simply for my personnal use. I suddenly decide to send in my unprimed, ready to go model photos, and log on for the email address, yadda, yadda yadda. After sending in the WIP shot, I hop onto here to have a good laugh at all the silly (dunce?) questions, when I see this: "++ Answer to Maleficum ++ You submit the WIP and other pics at the same time." Fark. Oh well. Dunce cap for me thanks.
Kurgan the Lurker
You can submit them seperately. That isn't an issue.

Fark. Oh well. Dunce cap for me thanks. You can submit them separately. That isn't an issue. I which case I retract my previous comment, and indeed never made a previous comment. What you have witnessed is a figment of your imagination, and should you choose to say otherwise I know where you live, and a good friend of mine is an Eversor Assassin. +++ Would pre-heresy work since you only said heresy era? Well, the general gist I'm getting is that, as long as it is 'Chaosy', it's OK. Unfortunately, I think this rules out pre-heresy as there wouldn't have been anything 'Chaosy' then. However, given the shameful 'incorrectness' of my previous rules comment, I'm prepared to retract this guess too! +++ By the way Kurgan, did you catch my earlier question? How much background/fluff do you want with each model? Nothing? Just a name? A few lines of background? I expect you'd want a name, but no more. Is that right? (Or is it mackerel time!? :P)
TheDarkApostle
would pre-heresy work since u only said heresy era I would say no. Since pre-heresy they didn't serve Chaos but were still loyal. (Unless it's a Word Bearer though, since then you might get away with it  )

Kurgan the Lurker
No fluff or name is necessary. Just pictures. And as the rules CLEARLY state --- Heresy Era (not Pre-Heresy...HERESY) is fine. I realize the thread is long guys but please make sure you give it a thorough read before the mackarel has to come out again.

Gunjack
damn, i just joined B&C to take part in this one ... am i a freak? :( Contest Specific Rules[*]No other models allowed on the base. No nurglings, other marines/races/etc. A spare helmet or piece of gear is fine but no other miniatures. Debris, furniture and such is okay. Just not another mini (this isn't a DUEL or SQUAD contest afterall). [*]As the V4 codex won't be out in all areas until late into the contest we are going to require that your mini be game legal by terms of the V3 Chaos Codex. so Huron is not legal 'cause of his weapons(not legal by the therms of V3: 2 CCW and a two-handed heavy flamer) and the Hamadrya (second model on the base/huron himself)?? or is he an exception?? think i've read somewhere he would be ok.. :P

What might disquallify him though would be that pet thing of his, whatever the name is now again
Austin Powers
Hola everybody, I have just joined, and I think a good initiation rite would be to try to make an entry, although it will be a close run thing... Now a question: when you say "green stuff allowed", may I safely assume you use the term as a generic label for modelling putties, or do you really mean just THE green stuff is allowed? I use other 2-part putties, on their own or mixed with GS. I ask this because I would like to send a WIP photo where putty would be reconigsable as non-GS. And another: must the figure conform to the game rules? Or are departures allowable, if they are reasonably inside the WH40K background? Let's say, equipping a figure with a combination of weapons not corresponding to any official category of troops. Thanks! Austin Powers
Brother Tyler
"Green stuff" is a generic term for modeling putty of any variety. In answer to your second question: we are going to require that your mini be game legal by terms of the V3 Chaos Codex.
Austin Powers
Hola again, I have been sorting through my figure stock and have a pretty good idea of what I would do. No, I'm not going to discuss it :-), just a question: I know no Terminator armour is allowed, but "TrueScale" figures are; but, having in account that a often used method to make TrueScale marines is to use Terminator figures' legs, are these allowed? Thanks, Austin Powers

Do terminator legs make a marine into a terminator? Probably not. Tho personally I find the usage of terminator legs on normal marines a bit wonky, since they don't quite look the part. I keep wondering why this simple contest of "paint a chaos marine" must be so damned difficult for some people. Cheers
