this is the conversion of mine that gets the most attention.. and is one of my favourites just because it was my first attempt at full robes on a termie..

i have another conversion in the works that i think will generally surpass this one by far..

:D That's some mighty fine paintwork there Brother!

Perchance, you wouldn't happen to have some before-painting pics of this lovely model, would you?

Well, I've had this idea for a while...

http://www.b3tards.com/u/d2e1cf3429dda61c9013/templar-marneus.jpg

Essentially, get Marneus, and the two honour guard with winged helmets, file off, cover up and snip away any Ultramarine symbols, paint them black and cover them in litanies and purity seals. He'll have a big weapon, probably a halberd, or a hammer, maybe a huge sword, and the two guard will have the axes, but with templar iconography.

I'm going to attempt this after the rest of my Templars are done...I still have to finish my basic army, get a venerable dread from forgeworld, along with the terminator shields and shoulder guards, and all of these are going to be high-tabletop/showcase/as good as I can get them.

I love making work for myself.

it's the only major convertion I've ever attempted... this is what I did:

- I didn't use the kneeling marine legs, I made these from the ones supplied in the tactical marine box

- the narthesium/reductor is scratchbuilt

- the hand lifting the dead/dying marines head is greenstuffed

- added guitar wire connecting the helmet to the backpack of the apothecary

- drilled bullet holes on the dead marines armour

- chopped the legs of the dead marine away.

- tried to modify the helmet by greenstuffing it

- the hand lying in the water is from a bike riding marine

all in all I think it turned out good.

I'd say you need to be attempting more major conversions, that's frikkin' great! I'd like to say "yoink", but I'm not sure I can get up to par with you...

Nice question, I've done hundreds over the years but this WIP is my current favourite as it's such a simple conversion of a BoM missile launcher marine.

Thanx... But sadly, its been a while and the earlier WIPs are lost in the warp. As far as I know, this is the only WIP pic left, but it is painted.

Ah, its alright.

Thanks though. I really dig your model. Still fantastic even after seeing it for, like, the tenth time.

And yes, where did the helmet of your model come from? I don't think I've seen it before...

Hello folks

Here's a MOTRW I knocked together out of some biker bits and some plasticard. The new Dark Angel Icons and bits are great for things like this :)

Cheers and Happy Hunting

My best conversion would probably be this:

Outstanding job! And of particular interest to myself, since I have a DIY Chapter using 'Purity Above All' trait.

I don't know if this counts for this thread, and people have seen it before....
