My humble take on Captain Sicarius, let's see yours!

Greetings Battlebrothers.

Like many I was impressed with the Captain Sicarius model that came out a while back. However a few features bothered me about it, like the lame mohawk and the scroll dangling to the ground between his legs. Here is my simple take on this Captain who will now lead my Ultramarines in our next battle.

I know I'm not the worlds greatest painter but I'm proud how my simple conversion turned out. Trial by fire for this Captain will be a 1000 pt battle against the evil Tau!

Regards,

UltraBuck

Looks great. I really want one of these models. Any of you know where I could get one?

Thanks. I got mine when I extended my White Dwarf subscription, don't know where to get one except when they pop up on E-bay or what not.

Regards.

Whoa, you weren't kidding about that pic... can't tell much of the detail of Sicarius

mmm, bloaty.

Mine's still a work in progress, obviously, but I got the idea to magnetize his back doodly so I could swap for pure asthetic insanity.

Hope they don't make a new model tbh. It defeats the point of having a plastic captain boxed set if they release the Ultramarine's posterboy company captain with his own sculpt and it makes the ltd edition Medusa V model redundant. I personally didn't get hold of one of them in time but I imagine it would miff off a few of the model's owners if a new, unlimited version is released. Stick with the big, big players with their own rules and sculpts: Calgar, Tigurius and Cassius. (If anything it should be Agemman who gets a sculpt and rules. Maybe if they labelled the new sculpt as a new Terminator Captain since the current one is severely lacking in comparison to his plastic brethren).

As long as it's a new sculpt, I can't see anyone getting annoyed. I have three different Marneus Calgar models.

If they release a Sicarius special character, I might have to adopt him as my new 2nd Co captain (I've been using Captain Asata from WD97 up until now).

let see my humble take on cpt.sicarius, in tabletop quality :P

it was painted when he was released, i hadnt time to paint more marines in these recent times. maybe one day i will re-paint him

rOxAs: I'm glad I wasn't going to be the only one to paint the chapter symbol in it's correct color...WHITE. I like your take on the model, it's nice.

What we have here is a new image of the good Captain fighting Orks...with a bolt pistol and power sword. Yawn. However, it is quite pretty.

Erm...it's second company colors?

Well yes and no, a good bit of Ultramarines artwork shows golden shoulder pads regardless of company, as do many of GW's eavy metal models.

The red cloak and tabbard would actually suggest it's the 3rd Company and that could be Captain Ardias instead...

I was thinking more along the lines of it possibly being Agemman or even one of Agemman's predecessors (since Battle For Macragge was a historical starter set I figure this could be artwork for a new historical starter set). Gold is always assumed to mean 2nd Co. in the artwork unless I missed something. Though the heavy use of red COULD mean Ardias or Fabian, red has until recently been heavily featured in capes and tabards for officers of the Ultramarines regardless of Company.
