Kerrigan
Started painting! To my shock the undercoat I used (my shop switched from GW to armypainter spray) wasn't smooth but a bit dusty. Maybe I didn't shake long enough? But the paint got a bit sucked into it. To my horror I thought I had really messed it up, but it turned out ok, just not what I was used to. The colour of the tank was an experiment, I have seen this colour on FW vehicles and the French use it a lot. It's astronomican grey with a touch of scaly green. A lot more work to do but I am happy with the face so I can continue with confidence. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC07932.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC07929.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/122770-death-guard-blog-pic-heavy/page/5/#findComment-1705674 Share on other sites

Corth
I love your style, modeling and painting! everything looks so very nurgle'ish! How do you paint like that? is it straight brush work, or do you use an air brush as well? Kerrigan
Havoc squad I am working on. I paint them differently compared to "plague marine" havocs, which only have typical Death Guard weapons (plasma, melta and flamer), so I can give them real heavy weapons. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/Heavy%20Support/Afbeelding290.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/Heavy%20Support/Afbeelding292.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/Heavy%20Support/Afbeelding283.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/122770-death-guard-blog-pic-heavy/page/5/#findComment-1717560 Share on other sites

Kerrigan
Except for some detailing and touching up, he's finished. Thank god for that. I have been working on him for quite a long time and have been painting my havocs for some welcome change. Anyway, here are a few shots. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC00002.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC00020.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC00010.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC00014.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC00019.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/122770-death-guard-blog-pic-heavy/page/5/#findComment-1729275 Share on other sites
Brother Nihm
Fantastic work, but having elevated him so high detracts a bit from the 'lumbering monstrosity' image that I have of the GUO's. Nevertheless, that's a great convertion and a very nice paint job. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/122770-death-guard-blog-pic-heavy/page/5/#findComment-1729287 Share on other sites

nurglephill
i wish i knew how to express in words how good that is. i shall say it is FW good. FAR better than the awful GW one. which makes you a pro my friend. magnificent work. the pose, the detail, the feeling, everything works to make a perfectly revolting daemon. well done, and thanks for sharing phill Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/122770-death-guard-blog-pic-heavy/page/5/#findComment-1729488 Share on other sites

Kerrigan
My Forge World sorcerer is as good as finished. What a details, amazing! But the model is very vulnerable to breaking so I magnitized some parts for safer transport. Also, the small details are hard to paint proper. Especially his eyes. But hey, it's for playing, I am not entering a Golden Daemon  . Kerrigan
My familiar is done! Just in time for the God Emperor tournament (thé biggest tournament every year at my local gaming club). This heresy miniature is perfect to aid my nurgle sorcerer. Now my army is 100% WYSIWYG. Couldn't have made a more appropriate mini myself. A mini mini GUO! http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC01348.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC01349.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC01359.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/122770-death-guard-blog-pic-heavy/page/5/#findComment-1826025 Share on other sites

NinjaStone
Firstly, awesome work! I mean yeah, i can only describe it by saying it makes me want to roll in a dirty puddle :). If you don't mind, I was wondering how you did the armour and the metal on the plague marines in the melta squad, 'cause yeah, it's really bada**.
