Vladar
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/HQ/DSC01348.jpg That baby is a nice touch. Kerrigan
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/Fast%20Attack/DSC07837.jpg How do you get that skin so nasty(good) And how did you do the bone/spine(:cuss?) on his leg? love your cute familiar ;) I don't know exactly how I did it's skin, but I think it's a mix of astronomican grey and tallarn flesh (I mix it on the model). Highlights with mix camo green/rotting flesh and then my ink mix dark green/brown. The spine is how I do all bone colour: khemri brown, khommando khaki, bleached bone, yellow/brown ink mix. Kerrigan
Firstly, awesome work! I mean yeah, i can only describe it by saying it makes me want to roll in a dirty puddle ;). If you don't mind, I was wondering how you did the armour and the metal on the plague marines in the melta squad, 'cause yeah, it's really bada**. Anyway, really great work! *tentacle five* Cheers, Ninjastone The melta squad marines are painted like this: armour mix khemri brown/gretchin green. Shoulderpads and exhausts/details astronomican grey/khemri brown mix. Highlights with camo/rotting, ink mix of dark green/brown ink. Rust is achieved with a basecoat of scorched brown, drybrush/staple with vermin brown/a tad of solar maccharius orange (or other orange paint) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/122770-death-guard-blog-pic-heavy/page/6/#findComment-1828717 Share on other sites
Kerrigan
May 3rd I will participate at the Battle of the Clubs 2009. It's a tournament, once a year, between players of Dutch Warhammer/game clubs. At the last moment I was asked to participate because some cancellations. For my Death Guard I have wanted to make obliterators for some time but it never came so far. Now I have a deadline within 2 weeks, so I'll have to make some hurry. All very WIP so far: Oblit 1: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/Heavy%20Support/Obliterators/DSC02316.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/Heavy%20Support/Obliterators/DSC02317.jpg Oblit 2: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Death%20Guard/Heavy%20Support/Obliterators/DSC02315.jpg Updates soon. krystalmesh
this has to be the most "nurglish" DG armies I have seen yet. completely grotesque and amazing. if I ever came face to face with this army, I think I'd be hit with an overwhelming need to bathe. Muskie
A plague tower, that is a big project. I painted my ass off on the long weekend. My thumb really hurts and I didn't even get four havocs done. I was supposedly simplifying my scheme, lowering standards... Good luck, I'll be watching. I thought about doing some big Nurgle pieces but not this year... Muskie
The mother of all Beasts of Nurgle. I might do some Apocalypse stuff someday, but I keep dreaming up 1500 point army lists. Lately I have visions of a flock of seagulls. Of course I've been moving away from all Nurgle, but unlike some people I didn't sell my models. I stripped some, but I still have a hundred or so painted Plaguemarines sitting in my display case with a spiffy one set to join them tonight if I can find the will to paint for yet another night... Cam2Designs
Your skill is undeniable. I have admired it on Papanurgle before. My personal taste leans more toward the understated in terms of Nurgle manifestations. Decay has a quiet elegance about it. Your Rhino and Vindie are pretty over-the-top! I guess it was only a matter of time...a snail...nuff said. Kerrigan
Thanks. I know what you mean with style of army. A hobby friend of mine (a woman! B) ) has the same image of nurgle as you do. I blame it on the chaos daemon attack apocalypse box ;) . With 8 spawns, you get the idea. Then you take a path in which you create your whole army. I like the conversions though. I also started an Ultramarines army which is quite the opposite I am doing with my Death Guard. Keep watching, this thing will become my biggest project to date! :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/122770-death-guard-blog-pic-heavy/page/6/#findComment-2011539 Share on other sites
