Duymon
Heyas, I had a few PM's for a tutorial on Easy MK8 that I had done almost 3 yrs ago. Here's the tutorial in a convenient JPEG. It didn't come out as I had liked via MS paint but it's readable and you can get the gist of it. Practice the shaping and cutting many times if you want to make it look decent. Do not try this on your expensive torsos for the first time! http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y78/Duymon/MK8_Tut.jpg A good example of how the MK8 Collar looks sorta painted on my WIP Champion :P http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y78/Duymon/DSC04702.jpg Another Example of Cheap MK8's in action on some of my WIP command squad  http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y78/Duymon/DSC04700.jpg If there's any questions please feel free to shoot me a PM har har <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/128857-modelling-cheap-and-easy-mk8-torsos/ Share on other sites

Terminatorinhell
how do you keep it in its bent shape? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/128857-modelling-cheap-and-easy-mk8-torsos/#findComment-1484661 Share on other sites
Duymon
Usually I bend them once around the pen. Then I reverse the bend to make it softer, then a final time around the pen. Thinner Plasticard works better on this. just make sure to always use a round tool because if you do it by hand it can crease like paper. Then you glue down the whole thing when you put it on the Torso. Super Glue > plastic glue here, just watch your fingers and don't leave skin on your expensive lil model heh heh Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/128857-modelling-cheap-and-easy-mk8-torsos/#findComment-1484998 Share on other sites
