Tyrannicide
The Chaos Lord, turned out great Kaleb! I really like the second character, the icon bearer, he looks frightening. Kaleb Daark
thanks brothers I wasn´t so sure I´ll build this army but since I had some good feedback on the Lord, I decided to go for it. The 2 most important figure in each and every army I did had always been the Lord and the Army Banner. I´ll finish this fellow then go with the rest of the retinue. One figure at a time I´ll have to rename this topic I think. IF you have some critics to make about it, I´d love to hear it too. Captain Pugno
a simply great lord the champion with icon seems too dark and so maybe some silver or a brighter colour to add to it wouldn't go amiss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/129597-alpha-legion-army-project/page/2/#findComment-1515399 Share on other sites
Master Toddius
I concur with everyone else, great use of bitz and a nice clean paint job. :) I don't know why, but these guys have an especially dark and sinister look to them, especially your icon bearer. I guess its because i don't see this line of Chaos very often at all. Great stuff, keep up the good work. Kaleb Daark
Here´s the Parts list Almost everything came from plastic figures. The Lord: Wh40k Chaos Possessed marines : torso, legs ( you´ll have to modify them with cutting and Green stuff) and left arm. Chaos Space marines: backpack, undivided icon, right arm, trophy spike, and holster. Chaos tank (anykind) large demon heads Chaos terminator lord: power axe arm ,chain tabard and base. Imperial guard cadians: 1 guard torso (I used the front at the feet of the skeleton on the spike) WhFB Chaos warriors: bare head and skulls Ogre Ironguts: hooks Vampire counts zombies: severed heads Vampire counts Black coach: skeleton on spike Chaos Storm of chaos Marauder champion: Axe head * *I only used this one because I could (had 3 of ‘em) you don´t need to, the original terminator lord axe´s head is fine. NOTE: I was thinking at first of making him a Word Bearer Dark Apostle, some part changes to make but I´m sure he can look nice too . The Icon Bearer: Wh40k Chaos Possessed marines : head, I cut off the horns ( but I´m still not sure that I´ll keep that one)and right arm Chaos Space marines: champion backpack, undivided icon, legs, left arm, skull on spike, holster and ornament chain. Chaos tank (any kind) driver ´s torso Chaos terminator lord: small tabard and spines ornament Space marine Command squad: pointing finger arm and Ultramarine shoulder pad (for the base, it can´t be seen clearly for now) WhFB Chaos marauders:hanging flesh ( add some GS scales on it) High Elves spearmen 8 Dragon Head Icons Small chain Ju Kaleb Daark  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/129597-alpha-legion-army-project/page/2/#findComment-1516039 Share on other sites
Kaleb Daark
Here's the update! So let's start with G Kaar Hydra Icon Bearer ( ;) To Babylon 5 Wonderful Narn Ambassador) http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/DSC01093.jpg I changed his head, 'like this one better I also added the Hydra Head on the icon ( Yes I did, you just can't see it clearly for now 'caus I'm an idiot that took the pic too early :) ) Next the first squad http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/DSC01100.jpg I know I souldn't take pics of Black coated figures anymore, nobody can see anything clearly.... The second squad http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/DSC01102.jpg missing 1 marine yet , gotta go shopping The Terminator squad http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/DSC01106.jpg The Havoc Squad http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/DSC01108.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/DSC01110.jpg I thought this missile launcher would be more suited to this army ( and I might also be a showoff ....) 3 more missile marines being converted at the moment And last but not least http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/DSC01097.jpg No This is no mistake. These guys will be my chosen squad and I figured This was a good idea to make 'em wear colors of the Ultramarines, just to confuse the enemy and give a scapegoat . An Alpha Legion idea.... I also have some ideas about painting for them, you 'll find out in the next update As usual ALL comments and critics are very welcome and apreciated. As usual too, I can provide the parts list and everything Julien Kaleb Daark Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/129597-alpha-legion-army-project/page/2/#findComment-1522827 Share on other sites

Nemissary
That is an old chaos missile launcher. Very old.. I think I have about 6 or 7 in my bitz box. I just really like the way you blend the greens into your blue.. that is great! I also like the fluff idea from the Heresy era on using fake Ultras. Pure Genius! Kaleb Daark
It is indeed a RT era Missile launcher from the chaos/genestealer cult sprue Yes brother Sangarunya, I've been , and still am really busy with this project Brother Nemissary to me the fluff is most important when I´m building up an army, and Since Ultramarines are my arch enemies, They were the best choice . I know that on this precise point I could be reproached that Alpha Legion marines shouldn´t bear mutations since they´re not really in the eye of terror.... call it artistic lisence :D Brother Corax: I´ll prepare the tutorial this week end Many thanks to all of you for your comments Ju Kaleb Daark Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/129597-alpha-legion-army-project/page/2/#findComment-1523282 Share on other sites

Nalro
Awesome paint job! Personally I'd make your "Ultramarines" a little more twisted. There still Alphas after all and there disguise only has to work from a distance. And I have a question did they repaint there armor or did they steal it? DaemonPrinceDargor
According to the IA,they repainted their armour in the Ultramarine colours just for the occasion. It worked wonders though. <_< Great job with the army, absolutely great stuff.Keep 'em coming!
