ODM
OK, one last try with all the litanies associated with the DA not yet given that I know: Where there is uncertainty, I shall bring light. Where there is doubt, I shall sow faith. Where there is shame, I shall point atonement. Where there is rage, I shall show its course. My word in the soul shall be as my bolter in the field. - Litany of Devotion No respite, no forgiveness, no mercy. For we are the Emperor’s wrath. - Interrogator-Chaplain Asmodai from the Third Litany of Malediction A moment of Laxity spawns a lifetime of heresy. Never forgive, never forget. With the bolter, cleanse the unclean. We will cleanse! With the flamer, purify the unholy. We will purify! With the chainsword, purge the corrupt. We will purge! With the missile, kill the impure. We will kill! Look to your battle-gear and it will protect you We guard it with our lives Your armour is your soul, and your soul's dedication its armour The soul of the warrior is the protector of humanity Honour the craft of death Only the emperor is higher in our devotion Honour the battle gear of the dead We ask only to serve - Warrior's Catechism of Worship I'm certainly interested to see what the correct Litany is! Sigismund Himself
You know, a collected list of all the questions and answers would make an awesome quiz for the Librarium... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130005-friki-test-dark-angels/page/20/#findComment-1800141 Share on other sites
Lemariont
For the Emperor! hahahahahah! Well, I needed traslate a lot of times the questons, the answer, and some messages. I think, if my traslation is good... the problem is the question phrase. prevailing is very "open". Yes I know you want say with it, but remember.... The questions should be clear, simple and easy to understand. The questions I think is no clear... but really the site you search it.... hahahhahahah! I´ll never search in it.... hahahahhaahh! :tu: Ummmm.... Please. Today remake the question. [clear, simple and easy to understand] Now, is very confused because you command us search a litany... and a lot of people can say you that really is Other thing.... I send yuo a PM. Nirraven
I thought it was clearly formulated, but on behalf of Lemariont I rephrase it: Name (verbatim) the most actual inspirational full religious phrase or text associated to an interrogator chaplain. It can´t be any clearer than that without giving you the exact page number and book to look in. Lemariont
Well, the question is very good. but the problem it is very hard to formulate. We are working in it. Nirraven is making a goood job. ^_^ ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130005-friki-test-dark-angels/page/20/#findComment-1800237 Share on other sites
ODM
Well, the Codex Astartes is mentioned as a Holy Text, although I haven't seen it used in conjunction with the Chaplains, so it could be that. The Book of Faith is a work that Chaplains are said to follow. I think I've fired all my shot gun shells against the wall. I look forward to seeing this one. Lemariont
I´m waiting a meesage of Nirraven with the text. When I´ll have the private message and can think about it I take a decision. Nirraven
Ok, Lemariont has the message with the answer. I think the time to answer this one is over, so I will wait for Lemarionts decision. Should I get the honor of an Unaswerable Question, I have another one prepared for you. The question I set you is not easy to answer and I already wanted to withdraw it and place a new one instead. But, you may try yet again, brothers! Lemariont has convinced me to rephrase the question one last time (still no pagenumber included ;) ) : Which chaplain reminds his brethren in high gothic to "keep a cool head even in difficult times"? Question-runtime has been set to 00:00 this night. Last chance. Lemariont
Grettins Battle Brothers. Now, the question is clear. But very very very hard.... hahahahaha! HiveFleetEzekial
Specificly.. what story? ^_^ (I know it, now after the question was clarified, but I don't care for making questions -_- And I'm pretty sure your spelling is off by one letter, but it's been many months since I last read the story) Nirraven: If this was what you were after, wow.. your original question was so far off and misleading. Fitting, being cryptic and all, as a DA. But not so good for a quiz (unless you want to 'fix' it :P ) ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130005-friki-test-dark-angels/page/20/#findComment-1801513 Share on other sites

jipimus
I was thinking it wouldnt be Boreus from Angels of Darkness as quite a lot of questions has come from there. Although you did hint that he had been dead a long time......... Could it Boreus then when he was giving his speech to the newly annointed deathwing prioir to the quest to find the fallen. Bareus also appears in the short story Unforgiven, from Deathwing. ODM
High Gothic. Well, you've got Bareus and Boreas already covered. I haven't seen many quotes in the fiction in high gothic, and none from the other Chaplains in the fiction I have (but I might have missed something of course). I guess I'll come back with a guess. Nirraven
Ok. its 00:00 in middle europe. Time is up. I will now post the answer plus explanation. +++ Neither of you is correct and I have to say that some didn´t even base their answers on dedicated sources. Now let me explain the answer, and the associated problems to you. You were first tasked to give the prevailing (actual) litany (religios inspiring phrase) verbatim. This was later specified as high gothic, which is basically latin. I did not want to include too many hints, since I thought the answer would be pretty obvious. I had a rather long message-conversation with Lemariont about the answer I was looking for and the way how to validly phrase the question to it. This is why we completely altered the question at the third time, giving you the english translation of the latin text and the hint that it was associated to an interrogator chaplain. So gentlemen, please take your 4th Edition Codex. Do NOT open it. Look at the InterrogatorChaplain. The answers were hidden were we all look, but were we would not expect. (I thought this quite DarkAngelic) For the first time a complete legible and translatable litany-banner is seen, reading: "Redict aequem memento rebus in arduis servare mentem" Which means: "Remember to keep a cool head (even mind) even in difficult situations." To put this on our 4th Edition Codex was quite cruel, I would say. So the correct and complete answer to the last question would have been: The chaplain depicted on the 4th Edition Codex. Please do not hate me for picking this question, brothers. -N- edit: typos Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130005-friki-test-dark-angels/page/20/#findComment-1802163 Share on other sites
Sabbat
I know im not in this....but that was the GREATEST question i have ever seen hahah so so DA i just pulled out my codex and started laughing its right in the middle of the page kudos brother nirraven  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130005-friki-test-dark-angels/page/20/#findComment-1802250 Share on other sites
ODM
Well, I agree it's a good one. Seeing the answer, I completely agree with Lemariont that the question needed to be rephrased from the first two times it was asked. Unfortunately, I don't think I could let go from trying to figure out the first two riddle versions enough to just read the third one for what it was, more of a "Where's Waldo" and less of a test of knowledge. Good job. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130005-friki-test-dark-angels/page/20/#findComment-1802308 Share on other sites
jipimus
Very good Nirraven! Well deserving of the QU point. Mow we have to think outside the box as well as delve through umpteen sources. I was just throwing names and sources out there in the hope that it was right (shame on me).
