the hip looks fine now that its taller, is that all the armour you will give it??? or will you add some more at the top? or round the sides/back?

have you started work on the torso?

and will you paint it in one or will you paint the legs, then bosy theen arms then head or something like that??

im feeling curious today :)

the legs will get much more armor than that.

i think i'll start painting after having finished everything aacording to building it.

-

just to give myself and -of course- you an impression of big it could become or what shape could be a good one i created a concept for the torso with lego ...

I read somewhere...Horus Heresy?...that the crew used stairs/ladders in the legs to get up into the Titan.

Any plans/thoughts?

Otherwise, I am very excited to see this come out...this is truly awesome to watch being built!! Incredible.

yes you're right. this was the dies irea, wasn't it?... a imperatorclass titan - big enough to have stairways in its' legs. unfortunately mine isn't that big.

=> but i think about attaching a crane working for the crew as elevator.

OMG this elevator isn't gonna work is it?

which reaver titan are you basing this on??

the WIP GW/FW one that was shown at UK GD...

... epic...

... concept art...

... book...

... somewhere else?

maybe i'll make it working, but i think i don't need to an just make it look as if it would. :o

the concept's coming about 90% from my own imagination.

at night i before falling asleep i sometimes lay in my bed thinking about how to go on. i got the size of almost all bitz and wh-parts i ever worked with in my head and find it very easy to compare them against each another or to glue them just in my head. if the result seems to look good i try not to forget it until the next day. to guarantee that i do a kind of imaginary snapshot and give it a speeking name and a number.

if i had 3 ideas this could be e.g.: necroarmor2 (which was the idea to use the necromundaparts to build the legs front armor i had 3 days ago.) or legobody1. ...

the same i do with the arms, the head, the landingpads and almost all parts which one day should be part of this project.

all ideas not fitting, but simply to good to forget i simply give names according to possible projects they could might be used for one day. like:

bbladetruck1 or terminusweapons1.

of course i use german names, but the names above should just give you an impression and pretty bad translations.

.

and sometimes if there's i realy good idea i even write it down, eiher at imediately at night or at the next day at work.

but i think the problem is not ro remember your ideas, but to know which bitz you have in your box, and which not. or even more important which bitz could be used to represent which function.

.

at he moment i already have 3 almost finished pictures in my head of how the torso could look later on. one of them or maybe a mixture of all of them will propable make it.

the only think i still have many blank areas left in this picture is the head and parts of the waepons.

.

Not sure if you know there are templates out for the reaver, maybe you can use them for some more ideas on structure

Great work by the way, cant wait to see it finished!

i think a giant wolf head (based on the SW back pack) would look good

i think so, too .... ;)

I used to think my extremely spikey land raider was extreme.... until now :)

Hopefully you'll get it all finished before I enter the Royal Navy in May. I must know how this turns out.

Dynamite job with the detailing, I darent think of the points cost!

It´s amazing! Your bitz box contains more stuff then all of my minis together are made off!

And the Vulcan bolter looks great! What are you planning on mounting as a second main weapon?

meanwhile i found some other parts from which i could build exactly the same vulcans, but with even bigger calibre ....

so what do you think ... ? - which should i use?

this is just awesome, how big is your bitsbox anyway? :D

hehe ... it's not only one ...

but it think it would be enought bits to build at least a ~ 15k marine army.

-

but to be honest: doing projects like this even small down the biggest box ... :)

Seriously dude that is amazing. I wish I had a 10th of the stuff you have (from what I've heard in this thread) I mean I can only get like 3000pts out of my Wolves if I'm lucky. 15K of marines though

:)

I love converting things it's just too bad I don't have alot of bits or skill :D

great use of bitz on the legs though i dont like the fact that it stands on tip toes. if you look at the GW warhond, youll see it stands on the whole foot, unless its striding, this one seems to me to be extering too much pressure on a few small points on the ground. though its probably a matter of personal tastes.

great work and again, inspiring use of bitz!
