Castigators strike Force

Recommended Posts

This is a great looking force Fabricator General, the details you've added to each marine really help to make it your own. I particularly like the legs on the plasma cannons, very 2nd ed. ;)

The freehand really adds to the finished product, but I think in places the armour is a little too shiny.

Awesome job though.

Ferrus mannus I use a watered down mix of red gore and brown ink to do the script and just put down wiggly lines.

Nice! I like the conversions on the Terminators - the assault cannon has a really great sense of malevolence, stalking through the battlefield, looking for the next opponent. The guy with the twin chainfists is cool, too. The one thing I'd say is that the white helmets look a little flat - but the white shoulderpads with the red Chapter symbol are really different - I like them. As we mentioned before, it might well be a battle-honour that the squad won at some time during their history - after all, each suit is a relic.

Viator look good, too - I like many of the conversions you do. They're understated but add to the character and individuality of the Marines!

I think someone should mention what a nice job you did on the Sergeant with the Master-Crafted Bolter. I mean... I could try all my life but never paint a bolter that looked that pretty.

And of course everything else looks somewhere between jaw dropping and simply amazing. I personally wouldn't have gone with white shoulder pads, but thats the price you pay with terminators.

Next up is the predator 'Excruciator' named in honour of it being a right pain in the arse to paint.

I hadn't caught this! It's awesome to see some armoured support (especially with Predators being such a steal in the new Codex). The FW extra armour helps it look suitably bulky and intimidating, too!

Looking forward to seeing more of these guys (you still haven't put Laertes up!) and hopefully an army shot...? ;)

Ask and you shall recieve Molotov, well this once anyway. Dreadnought Laertes, he has a banner which isn't painted but I belive that Tiberius has been asked to design an image depicting his death to be painted on it.

Laertes is fully extra armoured which I don't think shows in the photo's but I'm quite proud of the way it looks so thought I'd point it out.

Thanks for all the kind encouraging words gents, its much appreciated.

I don't mean to rain on the parade here, because these look abso-<DELETED BY THE INQUISITION>ing-lutely magnificent, but isn't that the symbol for The Sons of Korhal, from Starcraft? I don't know which company had it first, or if it's even copyrighted, but i'm just trying to look out for everybody. Either way, it's an awesome symbol, and the conversions and painting are exemplary.
