Luy22
I have an idea for a chaos army. Orks that had been rounded up by a chaos sorcerer and his followers, to make Chaos Ork Marines. Somewhat like Uruk-kai in LOTR. The Sorcerer's planet is a massive orb of a world covered in bogs, swamps, dark forests, and gigantic mud-pits. His tower is surrounded by the largest of the pits, and the tower itself pierces the sky. The initial batch of Orks brought to the planet were held captive, forced to fight. Some became worker-slaves, others actually were able to become Super-Ork soldiers. They are much more intelligent than normal Orks as well. New Orks are born in the great mud-pits, where there are many Greenskins in subterranean tunnels beneath the pit that release their spores within to the pit. The sorcerer either leads them in battle for the Gods, or they are led by a chosen warlord. Good stuff so far? Lady_Canoness
So... uuuuuum why? Uruk-Hai are a lot closer to a CSM than an ork IMO. Chaos Orks, ok I get that. Chaos Marines, ok I get that too. But Chaos Ork Marines? That I don't get. The idea of Power armoured smart orks is kinda weird - since orks are generally not all that bright and don't wear power armour. If you are bound and determined to use Chaos Orks, then just make Chaos orks (maybe even ask to use the adversary lists in the DH or WH codices). Not to mention that Chaos marines are just as xenophobic as their Imperial enemies and the idea of giving an ork anything of their own would be just as bad inviting an Inquisitor in to their stronghold for a grand tour and meet and greet. One or the other - I don't think you mix and match here and still keep it along traditional 40k lines. davidren2401
What an idea! Orks + geneseed! It's like a bear with a freakin chainsaw! Imagine a company of Orks all clad in 'eavy armour and maybe some bionic implants to explain the increase in BS! This would be an awsome looking army and I'd jump at the oppertunity to play against the finished product. the jeske
is this suppose to be a "counts as " chaos army that use ork models ? fluff wise it wouldnt work . in w40k orks are highly resistent to warp influence specially in large groups [and you write about arena battle , ork breed like crazy when they fight ]. the geenseed idea is even worse . it doesnt even work on women and those are the same species . an ork would just plain die from the process or rather his organism would destroy the seed . From the idea point of view . It looks to much to much like the way black orks were created in WFB. Hasoroth
There was a picture somewhere of Orks that'd been corrupted by Nurgle. Very creepy. (Daemon Hunters Codex methinks) Slap some power armor and you've got it Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/132500-you-do-not-know-fear-you-do-not-know-pain-you-will-taste/#findComment-1526832 Share on other sites
Brother Nihm
It doesn't appear to have much to do with Chaos though. Just Ork marines led by a Sorcerer? Where's the chaotic influence, the corruption  Wouldn't it be better to have them be corrupted/twisted versions of Astartes instead? Sort of like mutant/spawn/daemon Marines, instead of Orks. (Orks are Orks you know) That being said, you may find the following links useful: Ork Space Marines WH40K GT Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/132500-you-do-not-know-fear-you-do-not-know-pain-you-will-taste/#findComment-1526861 Share on other sites
