WB Dark Apostle - which colour?

What colour are the Dark Apostles in WB armies supposed to have on their armour?

 

Is it the same colour as everyone else in the legion, or is it black like the chaplains of loyalist marines?

 

Someone who knows the fluff?

As far as I know the DA's have the same dark red w/ metal trim as the rest of the legion. I have never seen it done any other way. That doesn't mean that you couldn't do your's in black though. As you have pointed out the fluff backs up you doing so.

I've seen black and red. Thusly, I also have one of each.

In the IA the Dark Apostle shown has black trim with golden shoulderpad trims. And the standard crimson armour.

 

I think it's pretty much up to the player to choose what colors to use from black, silver and gold.

It doesn;t really matter so long as it's generally in keeping with the traditional colours of the word Bearers legion or your own particular splinter group. I get the impression that the Dark Apostles would probably decorate their armour based on whatever visions or portents they are suffering from at the time, though red, black and bone seem to be the favoured scheme.
