The Salamander especially - what an amazing color scheme. The only mini I think is a little bit off is the Dark Angel. Not the painting, but the pose. He's like "yarr, repent! Hmmm... yes it seems that they have some how managed to killed the Grey Knight that was (:wallbash: !!!SHOULD!!! :jaw: be) in this group. I just tried to render it like the French knight (not the Knights who Say Ni, mind you) pronounced it, on a bog-standard keyboard. EDIT: On reflection, the Dark Angels is more like, "I haz a Legion", and then, "NOOOOO, dey be stealing my Legion!1!!" or: I haz a Emprur", and then "NOOOO dey be stealing my Emprur!!!1" or: "Mah winged bukkit, let me show u it" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Emperor's Champion Posted April 8, 2008 Share Posted April 8, 2008 I just now realized you were using the Pre-Heresy colors but got the Pre-Heresy Salamander wrong. The old Salamander colors scheme was mostly the same except they wore a green even darker than the modern Dark Angels do. I suspect they switched to a bright green when the Dark Angels switched from black so that they weren't ironically darker than the Dark Angels. ;) Or I guess you could argue that that was their original color scheme strictly outside of fluff, but I like the Salamanders having an older color scheme; I feel it adds to what little background material they have. ;) Yup. I went for an olive green because thats how they were shown in there. The are currently awaiting a base then i will be entering them in the national painting comp in my local store. I am starting work on the Scourge of Terra soon using all the traitor legions and a fallen DA. Any ideas on weapon combos and shoulder pads would be welcomed!!
