ok so many of us were/are facing the problem that we either arent able to get hold of wulfen or, that they are too expensive

so many people suggest using beastmen parts, but does this work? i havent ever seen any photos of them and some of the heads arent very suitable to i was wondering if anybody could post their thoughts, ideas, pictures and tutorials of what they have done to create your own wulfen, using beastmen parts and others (make doesnt matter i just need inspiration for what to do) or even sculpted!

thanks in advance

I have converted some ordinary space wolf marines into wolfen pretty simply.

I built the marines with the helmet less heads and then just scarred up the faces with my craft knife so that they look furry.

then added with a bit of greenstuff around the edges to give them a bit more hair.

really struggled to make the claws though so I just gave them two chainswords each to represent the fact that they dont have any shooting weapons and they don't look too bad.

To go more into detail you could also add in bits of catachan bare arms to give them that effect.

Don't bitch to much. They are berserkers that ALWAYS get the furious charge bonus and have fleet and rending to boot. Oh, and always enter via flank march. 480+50 points, that comes to 530 points for 20 models, or 26.5 points. Perosnally I'd LOVE to pay 5.5 points per model to give 20 of my berserkers those stats. Or hell, they are only .5 points more than possesed... and possesed are pretty bestial.... and chaos can take loyalist formations.

Hmm, I think I just found a use for my old rending claw conversion possesed....

here's my wulfen lord

i used normal marines parts on him because he represent a just turned wulfen a while ago

here he is painted with his frost blade

enough wulfen for me and the people from my gaming group

I am wondering that if I used blood claw bodies and legs with marauder arms how I would cover up the joint where the arm meets the torso. I am thinking GS up some scraps of fur or cloaks of fur, but wonder if that would become repetitive on multiple models.

What about varying the "cut and shut" joint.

Have some with full bare arms, some cut at the elbow, some at the wrist.

Green-stuffing fur as you said would be one way, or putting a marine shoulder pad over the bare arm, should cover the joint.

Fast and Furious for me.

The Apoc Sheet allowing the 30 Wulfen, Im just going to use 30 plastic wolves as a proxy with the Wolf Priest.

But the Marine Bodies with Marauder arms is the best bet, but I would also throw in some Forge World chain axes to add a killy look.
