well we appear to be in luck look what i found!!!

According to official product launch dates over at Spawn.com, the McFarlane Halo 3 figures we've all known about will launch sometime in March 2008, but there will be other series' coming later in the year. Series two is scheduled to land at retail a few months later in June 2008 including such highlights as ODST, Drone, Mongoose and Wraith figures. Series three is planned for an August 2008 release and includes figures like a Human Flood, Brute Captain, Banshee and Scorpion. That's not all, August will also bring a special 12" Master Chief figure and October 2008 will see the release of three highly stylized figures. Wowzaz! And for easier digestion, we posted a list of figures, release dates and a series breakdown after you click towards the break.

ooooh yeah im so gonna get a bunch of mongooses, hornets and scorpions

what are ODST's and drones??

drones are those annoying bug things that fly at you and have plasma pistols and normally attack in swarms, but they're easy to kill, (although probably the most annoying enemy) think vespid singwings but in halo terms :nuke:

drones

and i was thinking of making an odst type helmet etc, for my imp strom troops, cause they look soooo cool, dont think they'd work with power armour though, but might be worth a shot?

ODST helljumpers

(the pics are those who dont know about / arent obssessed by halo :P)

anyone planning to try and use anything else halo related for they're armies? i like the idea of using hornets, but what would you use them as???? they're kinda a bit too big and powerful to be land speeders, but waaaay to small to be a thunderhawk?

ps. thank you bobpanda you are a god :P

Mongoose might work as an attack bike? 1 marine driving, another stood on back with heavy weapon on shoulder?

Hornets wouldn't work too well I think as you said, might be ok for guard though not SM

I've just ordered a Warthog now all I need is the guys and the landspeeder cockpit

I'm going to use mine as attack bike as I believe it is more fitting, So I'll have to order atleast 1 more. Which will have to wait to the weekend.

Bob Panda why not try making some Space Marine vehicles out of other halo things. I know I'd love to see it.

oh man thanks for making a flag carrier :o its shaping up pretty well, i ordered a scorpien tank off ebay and im going turn it into a imperial guard tank from your ideas. keep it up

well dunno how big that'll be as the one for the scale we are using is not 'supposed' to be released until august

but post pics when it arives please

just saw a chopper in person the other day - they look a little to small for 40k - some serious bending and shortening of the legs would be needed XD

its a shame the actauly figures are so huge (i bougt a white spartan to sit next to my 360 ^_^) ... it would be great in a more tabletop size - i may start collecting IG then :P huge Orbital drop shock trooper army XD

slightly OT: seeing as laods of questions are being thrown around about ODST's, i thought id be charitable and post this: linky

back OT : awesome progress with the Warthogs mate the painting rocks! best of luck with the other 5 ;)

EDIT: if you wanted to make rocket versions (tempest) you could look at the rocket hog from the PC first halo - modellingly speaking, it looks more or less the same - just a question of building a barrel with some form of feed :)

EDIT AGAIN: heres a better pic of the rocket turret thing: linky if you consider it :P

@ swanky 40k - if you could pull that off it would be amazing :) i'd love to see something like that!

Cheers,

Pelican as a Valkyrie Firenze, not a Thunderhawk. You are not getting away with that.

Looking excellent as ever Bob, but did I notice a Master in there? As in, Master of the Ravenwing?

Because if so, we in the Fang will be having a quiet word with you on the subject of alligences... ;)
