its not that his pics aren't working, its just that you're so late (a few months) that he probably deleted the pics off his account.

I get that problem all the time.

hi there ....

sorry for the photobucket-problems ....

the images are still there, but unf i exceeded my bandwith ....

hmmm .... photobucket's statistics tell me that i had more than 240000 views on my images stored there during las month. ;)

=> but from the 4th of november all images should be available, again.

until than i could offer to upload at least some of the speeders images to my girlfriends account .... ;)

hey BobPanda

Thanks for sorting that out! I had seen this topic a wee while ago and should have saved the piccies. I bought a Warthog a few weeks ago and was just checking back to see what parts I'd need to buy to complete this baby, so I salute you and your special lady for sorting those out

Thankies!

Excellent work, they look like they were meant to be like that from the day they left the factory. May have to try this for myself. Thank you for the inspiration!

But, more importantly: Why do they call it a Warthog? I think it looks more like a Puma.

Hi Bob Panda,

Thanks for putting those pics back up! You've really inspired me to make one of these bad boys.

Besides the Land Speeder cockpit bottom and a couple of Marine bodies, what other parts did you use from the Land Speeder? The cockpit back? the control dash board?

Just like to know so I can order the parts

Many thanks

today i finished building the last of the buggies.

now all of them are ready for paint ! ...

-

but before starting to paint, i'll give you detailshots auf each buggy without being primed.

.

the first one is the leading buggy of the first squadron. all eqipped with heavy bolters.

.

it is the only buggy, where i already started painting the crew. ...

-

the next one is one of my favourites, because i realy like the cool and relaxed looking crew ...

-

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm245/Bettina_B/flo/P1020324.jpg

-

this is the last buggy of the 1st squadron ...

.

in this case the gunner's chilling as well while sitting on the roof and enjoying the ride ...

.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm245/Bettina_B/flo/P1020327.jpg

the 2nd squadron is fitting more for close range combat. all of them are equipped with multimelters....

-

let's start with the one i like most, which is called the heavy-metal-dude.

.

-

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm245/Bettina_B/flo/P1020339.jpg

-

(if you listen carefully, you'll might hear the music coming out of the buggys stereo-system_ AC-DC ... highway to hell .... )

-

here's the next one ....

this time the gunner obviously has seen something in the far distanz ... :-) )

.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm245/Bettina_B/flo/P1020334.jpg

-

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm245/Bettina_B/flo/P1020335.jpg

-

and here's the last member ...

this time the gunner is realy tired and just checking his auspex for some signals ...

or maybe he's just bored and using this device to play the latest mobileversion of counterstrike.

-

-

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm245/Bettina_B/flo/P1020336.jpg

and here's the third squadron. in this squadron not even the hogs are primed, yet.

but it's the one with the most firepower. further the master, that you already know is part of this squadron.

-

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm245/Bettina_B/flo/P1020333.jpg

-

and here are the other 2 buggies .....

These look so cool with the paint! Great conversion work can wolves take that much fast attack though? Either way very nicely done games workshop should release some type of jeep like that.

thanks ... :)

if you field 6000 points, nobody cares about a few speeders more or less ... ;) ;)

hehe ... no, no ... just kidding, ... but to be honest for me rules are secondary to fun and background.

and when creating this group i had the idea and image of a group of animal hunting down their prey. fast, passionate, experienced hunters.

i saw them rushing and surrounding their prey before finaly striking it to death with barbarian force.

Great stuff Bob Panda,

Any chance of a parts list?

Oops! Just gone back through the entire topic and discovered all the photo's are back! All good! Loving this thread and can't wait to get started on mine!

simply check out page 3 ...

.

i think the pics posted there give a good feeling of how it can be done on the one hand and what parts aregood to use on the other ...

if any further questions come up ... - feel free to ask. :pinch:

If you do get to special rules making for these, make sure you include a rule that makes them the most crappily-driving vehicles in the history of tabletop games, just like the warthog is the most crappily-driving vehicle in the history of computer games.

And nice work by the way...
