I like the Rune Priest, that model always screamed

"IwantedtobeaSpaceWolfbutIwasn'tbad@$$enoughsoIendedupintheUltramarinesinstead" to me.

Really ought to have got that model, in hindsight. Oh well, theres always ebay... <_<

On the other hand, the Wolf Priest is a beautifully painted model. But I don't think it looks like a Space Wolf really.

thanks for the comments just while I have the camera I thought I would put up my ven dread and some wip

The painting is great- you could easily get away with calling the BCs done already, IMHO, but for basing.

I really like the retro chain bayonets on the bolters for the Wolf Guard. Where did you get the heads on the center and right ones? I'm guessing Fantasy Empire; am I right?

The one in the middle looks a little to me like Jesse Ventura- "I ain't got time to bleed."

Nice work.

The heads are from the empire knightly orders you get 8 beardy heads. The head in the middle head is the champion with the laurels trimmed off so your getting 10 beardy heads really and 8 gay horses for e-bay.

The chain bolter i got from the cover of 'gears of war' but seen there are some other people doing doing them on here with some tutorials.

Cheers for the comments

Now you say that, I can totally recognize the face in the middle. Nice work on the removal of the laurels!

...but he still looks like Jesse Ventura... ;)

As for the chain bolters, similar ideas date all the way back to RT- a buddy of mine recently excavated a bunch of early plastic marines out of his bitz bin, and they had chain bayonet attachments as part of the sprue. Made both of us feel really old...

wow love all of it!

the sicarius model could do with a few runes or patterns on his armour to make him more obviously a rune priest (i'd suggest some pattenred lines on 'his' right shin armour

love the bloodclaws and that WG's mouth is insane!

(although sadly your dread is a little blander than the rest of your army)

Thanks again for the comments. I know what you mean about the dread I used a different technique on that. With the dread I just drybrushed sw grey over shadow grey then washed over with 50/50 black and shadow. With the others I layered different shades for highlights.

I'll have the wg minis up during the week if i can stop myself losing money on poker.

cheers gen

G25, I really like your work. I like the hvy dry brush effect. I am using a similar technique but not as heavy. Seeing your work, I think I will go heavier... here's my BC Rhino WIP.

Wow, the pic is so blurry. My wife took my good Rebel Cannon and I'm stuck with the old Minolta. I'll have to work on that ...
