Albreck
Hey there! Nice converting and gs skills, mate ^_^. Only problem is I don't like them a lot :). I mean, conversion work is good, and the gs work is top. Bellies are great, but I find that they are "over-rotted". An excess of rot in the armor IMO . The other thing that disturbs me is the back "belly". It's quite antianatomycal (spelling?) as it doesnt follow the back muscles pattern. An example of what I think is correct may be found in Kerrigan's or _Cadaver_'s defiler. Hope this helps! And keep working. Cheers, Alberto Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/134201-very-pic-heavy-update/page/2/#findComment-1565268 Share on other sites
ImperialTemplari
HI Albreck, yeah your right about the back, I wanted a rotted look, the rot isn't in the armour its years of filth and puss encrusted on the armour adding to the thickness, I'm fairly happy with them, and think they will paint up nicely, moving house next Friday ;) so not sure how much I will get done. Brother Plasticard
Ah, the wonders of moving. I think they look great! Can't wait to see more! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/134201-very-pic-heavy-update/page/2/#findComment-1566035 Share on other sites
darknation
Hail fellow rotter. I really like them, think they will paint up nicely. And I don't think proper anatomical structure is much of a worry as the poster above suggested... the idea of arms, limbs and head being in proper proportion all took a burton when GW designed terminator armour. The astartes inside would have to look more like an ork than anything else. zero23angel
which joker said these look over-rotten lol :) yeah seriously awesome work!! i really like the style in which you have used your green/yellow stuff, looks great. you have inspired me to finish my own termie squad. ImperialTemplari
Thanks guys, now a question, I am also working on a WE army, it will be trophy heavy, the usual heads on spikes style, I love the idea of trophies but don't want the 2 armies to have the same style of trophies, what would be some other styles I could use? I'm thinking maybe heads hung from a waist belt, or a rope of heads hanging from a hip, or a sack/net of heads hung on the back, also thought of converting some WH figs or IG figs to be carrying trophies, but if I had one for each marine that's a lot of figs, would be fun though, all suggestions welcome. ImperialTemplari
Well I might try the idea of having a zombie or slave with a trophy rack strapped to his back, here is the termie with his sword done, sorry about the crappy pictures, all comments welcome. Brother Plasticard
I like the sword! Now, onto trophies...how about skulls threaded onto a chain for your WE army, heads with their hair (if any) tied up and used to tie it to armor, a sort of cage extension made of spikes (Much like trophy racks) except all around holding skulls or heads, heads leaking fluids from eye sockets and mouths on top of the model, nets of heads/skulls strapped to back or belt, and I am all out of ideas for now. Hope it helps! ++EDIT++ Zombies hauling sacks or nets of skulls or heads, that is all.... ImperialTemplari
Hey guys, have just finished moving so should start painting these termies tonight and have an update in a couple of days, for the trophies I'm thinking zombies or slaves with a trophy spear tide to to their backs (rope running around the body tying the arms to their sides as well) so the only thing that would move is their head and legs, might put a gag on them as well, their whole reason for existing would be to carry the trophies. Hi Ekkanus they will be the same colour as my PM :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/134201-very-pic-heavy-update/page/2/#findComment-1572927 Share on other sites

Asmodeus' Swordhand
the armour is somewhat too pastelly at this point for my taste Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/134201-very-pic-heavy-update/page/2/#findComment-1575376 Share on other sites
ImperialTemplari
Hey guys thanks for the comments, these are still very work in progress, Asmodeus' Sword I agree they are very pastel however this will change when I start applying the washes, the overall effect will darken. I will take some pictures next to a normal marine when I am home during daylight, probably Friday.
