A Bit Kingdom order review...

I have. From what I understand, the site is undergoing some new changes and his brick&mortar store is very busy, as is the bitz business. Give it some more time, if still no word, send him an email asking for an update and he usually gets it sent out right away.

 

I had an issue with an order I placed taking a LONG time to get to me. After a few emails the bitz arrived. I am currently waiting for another order I recently placed, experiencing the same issue. I believe this will be the last order I place in quite some time as I have most of the bitz I will need.

 

I usually order full kits from my LGS.

Does anyone have experience of ordering from europe? I payed my order with paypal about three weeks and haven't heard anything since. Sent a message through the feedback site earlier this week and immediately got "thanks for ordering I'll get back within 24 hours" and another mail including the bits I ordered and his paypal address (same as the "first" mail I got when I first ordered) in my mailbox, but didn't hear anything more after that.

 

I don't have a problem with the order taking time to arrive, since it's being sent to another continent after all, but I'd still like some confirmation on that the money's been received or that the stuff's been shipped. Again, anyone had experience of this?

I'm guessing that Nate's been pretty busy as even I haven't heard from him this week. That's unusual.

 

I'm going to make a note of this and bring it to Nate's attention.

i ordered from the UK, took naerly 6 weeks to recieve a predator upgrade sprue, which i now decide i dont want to use :D

 

he seems like a good US vendor, but there are better ones for the UK that i have used.

 

yes but most things are cheaper than the UK sites na dpostage isnt costly either

I've been ordering big lots/kits from him. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it takes forever. It taking forever for me to get my CSM Renegade Force shipped. It's been a month and he still hasn't received it due to the problems that he's having. I can always reach him but it's just frustrating long to get my stuff. He has the AoBR box that I also ordered that he offered to ship first. I need the CSM by the end of next week and he said he'll try to get it out.

Dear B/C this is Nate here from Bit Kingdom. The website was down to do previously scheduled maintenance. This maintenance took a little bit longer than we initially expected and we had to take the website down temporarily to do this maintenance but everything has been up and running since then with no problems so don't be alarmed.

 

This was unfortunately followed by a power outage that left us offline for approximately a day. We are responsible and timely with our responses to all inquires but this wasn't possible because of the power outage.

 

When everything was fully restored we began responding to orders, questions and other inquires. We were a little backed up and we knew it would take a little bit longer than normal to respond so we sent out an email to our newsletter subscribers detailing what was going on.

 

We get a large volume of emails on a daily basis and while we make it a priority to respond to all of them, sometimes it's just not possible. If you have any questions regarding anything that's needs an immediate respond please give us a call and we'll be glad to help you right away.

I placed an order last week and I have not heard anything from Nate or Bit Kingdom. I don't mind waiting for stuff to be delivered as I live in England, but the worrying thing is I have had no confirmation from Nate that my money (Over $200) has been recieved or the current status of my order.

You just need to keep in touch with him via email or phone so your order does not end up at the bottom of the list.

Got an email today from Nate explaining what had happened and let me know what was going on with my order :D . Definitely going to use Bit Kingdom again for my next order - especially after my recent problems with Forge World :) :cuss

i dont call £18 for 10 chaos marines cheap... or the fact you cant buy "bitz" anymore cheap either

 

where do you get £18 from? 5 chaos space marines are $9.99 so thats roughly £10 for 10 thats nearly 50% of GW prices, the lack of bits is a bit annoying ill grant you that though

Just plug the address that Brother Weasel supplied into Google Maps and it will give you a very good idea of where Bit Kingdom is. It's actually a little South of where Google puts it (Bit Kingdom is midway down the long North/South building with the brown and black roof).

 

Ralston, Nebraska is a smaller city surrounded by Omaha and La Vista, and BK is pretty much in "downtown" Ralston.

Its slow ordering from them if ur anywhere outside America. I live in Asia and its been almost 2 months and the package i ordered hasnt come yet.

 

Price wise, i have to hand it to them, ill buy from him anyday...thats if im buying like 3 months ahead of when i need it.

I noticed BitKingdom had very competitive prices for their products and after reading several reviews, a mix of good and bad, I decided to give them a try. I just want to post this review to keep anyone ordering from B&C informed.

 

I talked to Nate a little bit before ordering and then submitted my order on Jan. 28. I received an e-mail with the receipt for the order on the same day and then sent my PayPal payment. There was no confirmation of payment received which bothered me a little so I contacted Nate 3 days later and made sure everything was good. He mentioned that he did get the payment and is processing my order. After another week I contacted him again looking for a follow up on my order (was it shipped, is it delayed, what?) He noted that he was waiting on parts to come in and that it should go out in a few days. I also asked if there would be an e-mail coming my way when the order was actually shipped, he said yes. Lastly, I called back to make sure the order was shipped, Feb. 10, but he still did not have one of the items I ordered. I requested a refund for the item and told him shipping everything else was fine. He was willing to oblige but I have still not seen a refund for the item. There was no e-mail confirming shipment. I still have not received the shipment and probably won't expect it for another 5 or 6 days.

 

Overall I'm disappointed at a few areas of the transaction...

- No receipt for payment received

- No e-mail confirmation upon shipment

- Took almost 2 weeks to ship the products

 

It sounds like Nate is just a bit over his head with his business at the moment and is having trouble keeping up. I'm sure there are people out there that have had positive experiences with this company but I just wanted to shed a light on my most recent experience.
