Bonham1963
I had similar experience on my first order. Though items were received after approx. 3 weeks. The Tau drone squad was in a baggie, not that I expected a box. The prices were less than GW, but the duty I paid on shipment from U.S. to Canada, erased the savings on buying from BitKingdom. Any/All online orders should have 4-6 weeks expectations, regardless. I know that I won't be using BitKingdom, because of the duty charges. Nate seemed nice enough through e-mails and communicated promptly. Brother Plasticard
I have had a terrible experience. An order I placed last April still hasnt come through, and our communications have been rather redundant. Im still missing it with no idea where it is or what is happening. TheEmperorsChampion
Anyone know the content of the bitz grab bags $10 and $20. And anyone ventured into examining the bitz overdose? Bloodstone
Grab bags are random items. I find Bit Kingdom unreliable. Prices were great, even with the shipping and taxes, i still saved approximately 10~15% in comparison to store bought items in my country. However, my order took me 2 months to reach me, bases were missing, Nate wasn't responsive when it came to communication, i never get confirmation if payment is recieved or when my items were being shipped out or where they were after being shipped. Id only buy a Bit Kingdom item if it was a last resort. Gussy
I've gotten everything I've ordered from them. Yes, it does take a while so I only order stuff that I'm not in a hurry for. If I need it a week or two, I buy somewhere else. I can always reach him via email or phone but don't bug him unless I need the stuff by a specific day. You can usually call and ask if he has the stuff you want in stock. Rindaris
Another problem I've run into recently with Bit Kingdom is the prices in his online catalog don't match what he wants to charge you with. You send a request for a order with some bits listed at 6.99 and you get an invoice back with a cost of 9.99. I also had to go through several emails with him to get it down from regular shipping to bits shipping. Ended up not even bothering with that particular order. Bloodstone
He once took 2 months to send me my items, a chaos marine box set, chaos termi lord box set and a DA upgrade box, yea...and he didnt send me the bases that were supposed to come with it. And i told him about it, he never bothered to send a second shipment to me either. Doc Faolan
I had ordered from him before without issues (on recommendation of a friend of mine), however, I went to contact him recently as the site hadn't been updated in ages (which I have no problems with, I just wanted to make sure he was still around before pooling with friends for an order) and got no response. Fair enough I suppose, but as of today the website is gone, so it seems he may have gone out of business. Honestly I think it's a shame, but from reading how things have gone for many of you lately, I think he just ended up getting more business than he could reasonably deal with and it exploded as far as CS goes. It happens. Neal @ TheWarStore is usually pretty good, but has been known to drop the ball on orders before, sometimes taking up to two weeks to ship things that are "in stock" with little communication. So you'll get that wherever you go sometimes. Brom MKIV
Greetings brothers, I have conducted business with bit kingdom twice. Here is my experience: I admit the prices are great, probably the best around id say. Also Nate is friendly during phone conversations. The downside, as others have stated is shipping has been slow both times and took close to a month (26 days) the second time I ordered. As a fellow business owner I do understand that sometimes things can happen. This I could live with because I like the prices and believe in supporting small businesses like my own. However, when my second order finally arrived I found I was short 2 of the 10 terminators I had ordered. Friends and family felt I should open a dispute with paypal. knowing what a hassle this can be to a seller who may have made an honest mistake I chose to contact Nate by email stating what had happened and offered to pay shipping costs to send the last 2 termies as a gesture of good faith. EDIT: Soon after posting this I recieved a PM from Nate requesting my order number. I provided the number and several days later I recieved a package in the mail containing not only the items I had not recieved but also included additional bitz and models I had not even ordered. A very pleasant surprise. I would like to extend my gratitude and also my appologies to Nate and to Bitkingdom. I appreciate the effort you put forth to complete my order. THANK YOU. -Brom Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/134440-a-bit-kingdom-order-review/page/3/#findComment-1904991 Share on other sites
Gussy
I'm about to place another order. He said he's having some problems but promised to get what I need to me by the 20th of March. Supposedly he will place the order on Monday and get it that same week. So, that'll give him more than a week to get the package to me. I'm not ordering anything unusually...just some basic boxes and some codex. That's a little over too weeks but if he can get consistent with that I'll be happy. Peredyne
I've ordered from BK twice. The first time, got all my stuff in less than a week. I posted a comment on this very topic about the stellar service. The second, took the better part of a month and several emails to get it moving. I think that with the folks here at the B&C (and of course, many other forums) giving him such glowing reviews, he got overwhelmed with orders. I think it will all come to a balance, but it's going to take time. Don't forget, he also has a brick and mortar store to deal with, and it's entirely possible that he has to provide the flesh and blood customer that is right there the best possible customer service, so the internet orders get delayed. Gussy
My feeling is that he got over aggressive in his business plans. Instead of doing other stuff like creating bit swap and such he should have concentrated in his core business and ensuring he has enough capital to fund his operations. All that moving into different facilities must be costing lots of money. Money that could be used to stock some inventory instead. Symeon
I've ordered twice from BitKingdom, and both times things worked out fine. I'm sad to see other people having problems, as the prices are amazing, and it really was a great experience for me. Edit: LOL, I've been lurking here for months, didn't realize this was my first post. brklynpnk
Nate was a good guy to talk with, but I had fairly rough dealings with both of my orders, taking well over a month. The first order was shipped the same day I had enough and asked for my money back. I figured, in retrospect, that maybe it took so long because it was a large order. The second time was just for a box of AOBR split between 2 ppl and a couple boxes of gretchin. This order ended up with me filing a dispute with Paypal so I wouldn't lose out on 2/3rds of the order. The orks, minus gretchin, were received over a month after purchase. The rest of the order was received 48 days after sending money. I like saving money as much as the next guy, but I would rather pay slightly more to have things in a somewhat timely fashion. I hope maybe this rough patch is due to being too popular too fast and he is able to catch up to the level of business. Gussy
I placed another order last Friday for 2 codex and 2 battalion boxes. One of the battalion box is in stock while the 3 other items need to be ordered. I told Nate that I will need to have the stuff by the 20th of this month and he said it's not a problem. I called him this Monday just to make sure he placed the order with GW so that he can get it this week and ship no later than this Friday. He told me that he did place the order and will get it this week. I will call him today or tomorrow to check and will update here with any info. Plastenarius
I noticed BitKingdom had very competitive prices for their products and after reading several reviews, a mix of good and bad, I decided to give them a try. I just want to post this review to keep anyone ordering from B&C informed. I talked to Nate a little bit before ordering and then submitted my order on Jan. 28. I received an e-mail with the receipt for the order on the same day and then sent my PayPal payment. There was no confirmation of payment received which bothered me a little so I contacted Nate 3 days later and made sure everything was good. He mentioned that he did get the payment and is processing my order. After another week I contacted him again looking for a follow up on my order (was it shipped, is it delayed, what?) He noted that he was waiting on parts to come in and that it should go out in a few days. I also asked if there would be an e-mail coming my way when the order was actually shipped, he said yes. Lastly, I called back to make sure the order was shipped, Feb. 10, but he still did not have one of the items I ordered. I requested a refund for the item and told him shipping everything else was fine. He was willing to oblige but I have still not seen a refund for the item. There was no e-mail confirming shipment. I still have not received the shipment and probably won't expect it for another 5 or 6 days. Overall I'm disappointed at a few areas of the transaction... - No receipt for payment received - No e-mail confirmation upon shipment - Took almost 2 weeks to ship the products It sounds like Nate is just a bit over his head with his business at the moment and is having trouble keeping up. I'm sure there are people out there that have had positive experiences with this company but I just wanted to shed a light on my most recent experience. -Plast Just wanted to post an update on this order. I just received the order today. Like others have said the sprues were out of the boxes for my LS and Rhino. That's not a huge problem for me however. The LS was an older model with some of the fluff bits the new ones come with. For the delay Nate sent some extra bases, which I use to proxy things with so that's nice, and also some Orc bits...why? Anyway just in recap the order was placed 1-28-09 and received 3-13-09, after numerous problems. -Plast Edit: Grammar. Gussy
Update on the order I placed March 6th for two battalion boxes and two codex. Called him the Thursday after but he said it will arrive on Friday the 13th. Sent him an email on Friday if he shipped and he said he didn't get a chance but will get out Monday. Got a note that night that says it shipped and I received it on the 17th! One of the battalion boxes was not in the box but the other was. I wish he would put that empty box inside the shipping container instead of using all those newspaper as padding. I told him I needed the box though he may open them. Unfortunately, it was my friend's battalion box that was opened instead of mine and he wasn't too happy about it. In summary, I think if you order sprues or bits and they are not in stock, you will have a problem as I don't think he'll open a new box just to give you the bits. Remember, he does as very little inventory? So you will end up waiting for those until there enough bits order to break up a box. If you buy whole kits and follow up with calls and emails things should be okay though I wish I didn't have to call or email. He had a promotion a couple of weeks ago where he sold some stormlord real cheap. I wish he had put those funds towards his inventory instead as I do not think he needs to spend marketing dollars right now. His problem is not the number of customers but how to keep them happy. So will I order again? I've been ordering from him for a while and have gotten everything I ordered. However, it only makes sense to order if the order is large enough to justify the hassle that you have to go through. What's the point of saving $5 if you have to spend lots of time emailing and calling? But $50 should be worth a little trouble. lucas
I've ordered from bitkingdom a few times and I'm getting another oprder sent now. Every time I've ordered from bitkingdom I've been very happy with the prices as well as the service and shipping times. I'm not sure what is happening to everyone else, but I recieve stuff fast when I order. I don't mind missing out on the boxes because they just get thrown out by me anyways when I buy from Games Workshop. I live in Canada and my order has never been stopped by customs either. I've recommended bitkingdom to my friends and they are happy with their orders too.
