retlaw83
[caboose]Codex: Legions....[/caboose] What is this Codex: Legions you speak of? Codexes for the Chaos Space Marine legions, which they claim they always planned on doing. However, it's pretty clear they weren't expecting people to be so pissed off about the botch they made of Codex: Chaos Space Marines, so my opinion is they've said this just to calm people down. Yes, I wouldn't get too excited about this. Jervis Johnson merely threw out the idea of a possible Codex: Traitor Legions when a fan started questioning him over the engative reactions to the current Chaos codex. It's a palliative, in other words, and one that probably won;t see any tangible results for, oooh, about twelve months, if not longer. Reaper31
Curious, Why would a Hive Tyrant be immune to force weapons? The Force Weapon entry states that force weapons cause instant death on an unsaved wound regardless of toughness characteristics. Codex: Legions will hopefully be awsome (ie, not nerfed). But, with everyone else here, doubt it will be around anytime soon. Dark Eldar (if only for new models, the current ones are ghastly, and not in a good way), and space wolves ect. need a codex before the legions do. Reaper31 Well as far as I know, all synapse Tyranids are immune to instant death(except swarms? not having the codex is difficult sometimes^^) Well Dark Eldar are rumoured to be on their way and Space Wolves even closer(here's hoping that December rumour is true) and depending on the contents of the rumoured FAQS that will accompany 5th ed, maybe legions will actually get done within the next 2 years  Well here's hoping anyway :) (and yes I do that a lot) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/134638-ccsm-5th-ed/page/2/#findComment-1555016 Share on other sites
Seahawk
Yea, all Tyranids within synapse range are immune to instant death. Thus, they will become immune to force weapons. Roultox
Force weapons dont cause instant death in 4th, they "remove all wounds". People confuse this because its basicly the same effect, just that it doesnt "trigger" the instant death rule, it just removes wounds on a successful psychic test.
