how did you make the custom bases for the attack bikes and how did you do the base on the blood-drinking DC dude?

Excellent painting, kind of messy but it just looks amazing with your painting style.

BTW, how much time approximately do you spend time on each marine?

Again, thank you everybody. It's always nice to hear that people like the stuff you have made.

Btw how do you get the assault marine to lean forward so much? I wanted a similar look for my templars assault marines.

There are several different ways. If you just want to add a liite bit more motion, you can cut away a little bit from the front of the sole to make the front end tinner then the back end. If someone would look really, really close they would see it, but noone does that. This method can only add a little bit of momentum, however.

The second thing you can do is to add a thin bit of plasticard to the base so that the marine stands with about half his foot on it and half on the normal base. The plasticard is then covered up with sand, so that the marine is simply stepping on a small pile of sand while running forward. This is probably the most effective way.

The third thing is to have the foot lean against something on the base. The assault marine sergeant for example, has his foot against the warning-striped thing. Again, sand has been used to cover it up a bit.

First, I cut off the short edges of a WHFB chariot base. Then I divide it into two equally large parts. One of these is used for each attack bike base. I then cut a 40 mm round base into four "corners" and place them where the corners of the attack bike base should be. A cavalry base is then cut up to fill the gap in the front and the end part of the attack bike base. When gluing it all together, it is a good idea to glue cut-up sprues underneath the base as it produces large, stable surfaces to glue on. Also, cover the "scars" where the different pieces meet with plastic glue. After it has dried, it can be cut into a smooth surface.

I hope that helps. It is kinda hard to describe without pictures.

It is a normal 40 mm round base with one half covered in textured plasticard and one half in normal plasticard. And a few pieces of rubble made from plasticard as well.

BTW, how much time approximately do you spend time on each marine?

I don't know really. Not as much time as I expected it would take. Since the colour scheme is so dark and Scab red covers quite well the basic painting didn't take so long. I think a basic marine would be somewhere around three hours. A bit more for assault marines and heavy weapons. And maybe four or five hours for each VAS or character, since they have more details and the freehand skull on each shoulderpad took a while...

(This is for painting. The time for assembling and converting is not included.)

BTW... how many points is that?

1750

Any chance to see them live? :) (kan ju hoppas iaf hehe)

I notice that you are from Sweden, so if you are going to Sydcon plan to play them there. And maybe at BSK as well.

can't help but wonder if I'm the only one that got all the references (except the death company and one other)
The Death company is one of the hardest references to get in my opinion. As a little clue, all the names reference to the same thing. And as a further clue, their name has something to do with the name of the Furioso.
