Wow, way to overdone for Iron Warriors players.... it needs to be KISS(keep it simple stupid).

Just give the Iron Warrior players what they want and they will be happy.

4 hvy support choices and the return of the basilisk(with indirect fire)

- No other icons except the Icon of Chaos glory.

-0-1 khorne berserkers( this will make me happy, since I like the IA rules better than the 4th edition rules for them)

- may take obilterators as elite choice 0-1, as well as the normal unrestricted hvy support choice.

Nothing new special gear or weapons...

I no longer care about the Iron Warriors, I've moved on to the Word Bearers and understanding how to properly use lesser daemons and possessed. cannon fodder like them should be. :D ;)

Ahoj!

IA Iron Warriors ... good times, that.

It was that which got me playing CSM, as I never cared for the god-specific legions. After the Haines Codex came out the IW became the ultimate boring SAHF army there was ...

I almost agree with Maladon. So, what he said, but no 4 HS.

The 0-1 Elite Obliterators are exactly that already.

As to the original post - the Arch Obliterator should IMO cost some 100 points. +1BS and +1 inv. for 10 points is too cheap.

Borys

I think the cyber prince is undercosted by a little, a BS5 Kai Gun is nothing to be sneezed at, 25 points was the original codex price, i assume your using the DP as a price base, but this is a thing with a WS 7 S 10 power fist, and a Kai gun, is undercosted at 130 points, i would say 140, perhaps more for it, as he is going to wipe the floor quite badly with most things that come up against him.

Also i dont think that Leman Russes are particularly Fluffy for Iron warriors, they never really used them, only really basilisks, so i would remove them from the list of options.

I think not giving them an extra HS slot but give them a 0-1 slot for obliterators in elite is far better in terms of game balance for the iron warriors, even if it is not so fluffy as giving them more HS slots.

Also, WS6 on a tech marine? Thats more than a loyalist commander, he isnt a combat specialist, make him 4 or 5, hes a technical genius not a duellist and reduce his points accordingly.

Remember you dont want to bring back what everyone hated about facing iron warriors, otherwise you wont get anyone to play against, (I.E the 4 HS slots), your doing a decent job of it however.

Otherwise, not looking bad.

Being an Iron Warriors player for about 5 years now honestly there are just a few things I would like out of the legion

-Allow any mix of Chaos Undivided (or "Glory" or whatever the hell) and Khorne, but no other cults of any kind, not even banners

-No summoned demons

-"Cybernetic Possessed" that have mechanic augmentations so you can pay points for a certain type of implant that guarantees a certain effect (basically the old possessed rules with an excuse to use mechanical parts in conversions)

-0-1 Basilisk and make the Vindicator 0-1 as well, they are kept by the 1st company for chirssake and only loaned out on a case by case basis, 3 vindicators in a 1500 point "small sortie"force makes no sense

-Allow havocs to take tank tank hunters at +3 point/model

-An option for defilers to take indirect fire (honestly all Chaos should get this back)

-No more bloody obliterator slots, "special association" or not, obliterators are supposed to be rare and mysterious, refer to my vindicator comment.

-I suppose servo arms should come back, but maybe at a price at which I wouldn't have to claim that my modeled servo arms actually represent a "close combat weapon" because 30 points for a single attack is horridly inefficient.

-Preferred Enemy:Imperial Fists would be a really fun addition as well, even though I have never actually faced the Fists =/

All in all I think the IA:Iron Warriors rules were the best, but failing that, the Petedex was still better than the homogeneous tripe we have now.
