Ekkanus Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 Hey guys got a quick question about Havocs. I'm doing my own Chaos Space Marine army who follow Slaanesh. Now what i need to know is do Chaos still use Havocs? Or do Slaanesh followers use Noise Marines? And if they do use Havocs anyone know where the rules for them are as i couldn't find any in the new dex. davidren2401 Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 Rules for Havocs are on p26 and p100 of the new dex. One havoc may be upgraded to an icon bearer of Slaneesh for 20pts. Lord Humongous Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 Or flamers. I'm seriously considering a 10 man havoc unit with 4 flamers and IoK, AC with a power weapon, and Rhino with combi flamer. Talk about your horde killers! However, swapping in some melta and a power fist would probably be more practical. IoS is probably just as good as IoK for this purpose. Bright lights, lots of heat- noise isn't the only sensation out there. Most good heavy metal bands get into fire at some point... Fearsome as noise marines in melee (barring fearless) plus 4 assault guns that make them cry mommy. Dont forget the combi-weapons on their rhino and champion for a total of 6 weps. Chaplain Invictus Posted May 11, 2008 Share Posted May 11, 2008 One of my favorite things to do is make an assassination squad. 9 havocs, w/ 4 plasma guns, asp with combi plasma, and a lord with daemon weapon and combi plasma riding in a rhino with a combi plasma. All in all, if waiting patiently for the perfect opportunity, your talking 7 rapid firing plasma weapons, 14 shots total. It is relatively expensive unit, counting the lord, at 400 some points, but it ends up being fairly scary to termies and larger tyranids and such. As an added bonus the squad still has ccw and such so worst case if you get charged, they should be able to hold their own if you give the asp. a power fist/weapon.
